BEFORE YOU BOOK SUNBIRD....*warning*

I'm sure most of us expect to pay a security deposit....

But Sunbird informed me (weeks after I made the reservation) that I would have to pay an additional $50 cleaning fee, a NON REFUNDABLE $45 damage waiver....and an extra $15 for parking.

So that's an extra $110 before the 11.5% sales tax they will add on.

I'm so heated right now.

It sucks but most of these places add on a few extra fees, thankfully mine told me about them before I booked.

25 dollar booking fee, 100 dollar cleaning fee, and then a whopping 500 dollar deposit for being under 25. Thankfully if you book through Georgians, the tax is only like 9 percent or something like that.

And there in lies the problem....expedia will charge me $100 to cancel...and Sunbird will take another $152 for the first night. *sigh*

Guess I'll have to man up and take the good with the bad and make the most of it. (trying to see how many cliche's I can fit into one sentence).

Those fees are fairly standard, and although we booked Boardwalk through a private party, they charged something similar. Make sure to get FINAL costs before putting down the plastic.

I went through VRBO and he didn't charge a cleaning fee or tax. We just paid 575 for a 2 bed room condo for a week.. Plus a 200 deposit and that was it, nothing more nothing less
