Cody - start doing your sit ups now! :P

Some differences about 4th of July (some already mentioned them).

1. No stages set up on the beach
2. More families
3. Hammerhead Fred's is just a restaraunt...not a club.

4. Much much hotter! Which is a good thing.
5. LaVela is the main attraction during the day with their wet t-shirt/bikini contests

I hope that everyone's enthusiasm stays the same and we aren't all just having spring break hang-overs. I had already planned to come down for the 4th of July before I planned on coming for spring break. So...I hope to see everyone again.

I take my family down every year for the 4th. Yes, there are lots of families, but a lot of people still partying. Just not to the level of SB. Some of the condos have things going on at their pools and on the beach.

The thing is the fireworks!! Every one and their cousin has fireworks and lighting them off on the beach, and some off balconies! They go on for hours. You just have to be careful of the drunks with bottle rockets. Other than that it's a great time!! There are several official fireworks displays that night.

I like going down there at that time. The weather is hot, the crowds are up, the water is warm, and the beer is COLD!

Welcome to the boards! Hit the head right on the nail in your post.

The Panama City Marina located in downtown Panama City normally has a really good fireworks display. We normally head out to that one because that's where my best friend's boat is...But there are several other big ones going on around town aw well. I can't remember all of them off the top of my head, but I just woke up so I'll report back later.

I'm gonna wait till it gets closer and see where the majority of the people are staying and book a place there.

Good Idea! We should all try to agree on a place and stay there. Then we know for a fact it will be a party the whole time down there
