Don't wait too long to book! You'll be able to find a room somewhere still, it just might not be where you want to stay. We were thinking down at Origin of Seahaven. It's across the street from Sharky's down on the west end. It's cheap and has nice, big rooms, and a bigger kitchen than what the boardwalk gives you. We had a 3br + 3bath and a full size kitchen for $149 a night at the begining of March, and an awesome view and an extremely spacious balcony...

I will be there, but I'm like Greedoe....I'm more the neighbor type than the room mate type. Haven't figured out where I want to stay yet. Guess I should start looking.

lol man you were two turns away (one off front beach, and one onto back beach/middle beach) and you would have turned that hour into 5 minutes...

I usually stay at Days Inn. It's not walking distance to anywhere...but it's easy access to Clara ave which gets you to middle (or back) beach road....which will bring you around to Thomas.

But I'm thinking about staying at boardwalk. It's only $20/night more.

How about we all pitch in and rent one of those big *** pimp houses on the west end of the beach. They are across the road of the beach, with the back of the house facing the beach and nothing in its way... lol just throwing out random *** ideas...

doesn't look to good for me for 4th of july weekend....my friends are saying that we just got back from there and we are going again for spring break next year that there is no point in going for the 4th of july

so we're thinking about Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri aka Party Cove

LBResort3 is on a distinguished road
Just to let everyone know, the 4th is bigger than spring break on Panama City Beach. With the 4th falling on the weekend, the week before and after are already booking up for full weeks. This is also the time that the full rates are charged. The weather is hot and the pools will be full. There are times that the "adults" make the spring breakers look tame.

As to fireworks, Long Beach Resort has the best balconies to view the show. After dark, groups start firing off the fireworks that they bought in Alabama on the way down. It goes on for a couple of hours for 2 or 3 miles up and down the beach. You can sit on your balcony and look a full 180 degrees at the show. Better than going to the gov. fireworks that only last 20 minutes plus sitting in traffic. For the last few years, a barge that is used to shot fireworks in the bay comes out the next night for a short show in front of Pineapple Willies.

This year looks like it will be busier than last. Come on down!

Party Cove is not a bad idea either! If you have to skip out on PCB...then you made a good choice.
