A couple of the board members have decided to do Daytona in 2010. I'm thinking about checking it out with them. I haven't been there in so long that I'm nervous about going. Any thoughts? Anyone been recently?

i was gonna go back 2 years ago but the reviews werent that impressing.....it was big in the 90's earlly 2000's tho, i went in 01 and it was pumping

I have heard that it's pretty lame now. Some friends went last year and said it was a waste.

I've been down there a couple times during the summer and in my opinion, the bars and clubs there pretty much suck.

i went to spring break in panama in 08 and then daytona 09 beacuse my freinds wanted to go there. by far panama city is better. the scene during the day was non existant in daytona. You cannot drink on the beach and they strictly enforce it. I saw numerous written arrests. however there were some good night life places such as razzles and ocean deck, but the number of spring breakers was pretty low. trust me and stay in PCB

I know who your talking about Ray and was wondering the same thing, wish they would make a return to PCB this year.

thumbs down on daytona for spring break, its so lame man, plus you have 3 other events going on there in spring... bike week, black week, and gay week. so its just not a spring break destination anymore, the cops are crazy, the parties are weak, and the population of breakers is small.

I think bike week would be sick! I think it is like peak week or something!

I'd agree. I went there SB08 and it was disappointing. Course now that I'm 21 I'm sure it would be better, but still, they're pretty strict.

Thanks for the tips. If I do Daytona...it may be for 2 days. Maybe the Friday and Saturday of one weekend...and then I'll head over to PCB for the remainder of the week. And yes...Daytona used to be SICK back in the day, but I think the overly indulgent prescence of police and security scared everyone off. It's really a shame, because Daytona is so much warmer than PCB during spring break.

Was you really cold at any point this year in pcb? id read this before i went about pcb and was abit worried but everyday was always hot enough to just go to the beach in shorts ad no shirt. unless i just caught the good weather the 2 weeks i went.

You can never really predict it...but I have been to PCB a couple of times where I had to wear a coat.

Was fun in the late 80's through about 1995...it's been alonggggggggggg time since it has been good.
