Looks like mtvU might still be a possiblility this year. The TDC decided to remove mtvU and spring break marketing from their 2010 budget, but a group of PCB businesses has put together a co-op to try and get mtvU back.

Don't read too much into it. They're just a very vocal minority. Most of Bay County appreciates Spring Break.

The News Herald's website seems to attract mostly negative cynics and critics for some reason. I kinda feel bad for the NH cos every article they post online turns into a flame session.

I stayed at the mtvu hotel (boardwalk) in 2008 and I had a great room. Paid too much cause we booked with student city. if they do comeback then skip studentcity and just book at the hotel. Our next door neighbors did not go through sc. We were on the first floor in front of the pool. It was crazy cause they would do sound checks at like 9 in the morning....

Is it just me, or does mtvU's website make it seem like it's already certain that they're going to Acapulco for SB '10?

I understand that this doesn't preclude PCB from getting the Kardashians, Hills, etc., but it looks like the mtvU concerts and such are pretty much a no go?

The clubs / hotels will have to step it up to make sure that we still get some good concerts!

usualy mtv goes to one location and mtvu goes to the other. mtvu is like the stepkid of mtv. lol I hope they show up.

my friend text me it this morning telling me how he wants to go to acapulco now cuz mtv is gonna be there....he pitchd the idea to the rest of the group and there all agreeing to it cuz we have been in p.c.b for the last 3 straight years and they wana go somewhere different....its looking as if ima go to mexico this year.....i really rather go to p.c.b tho

that sucks! i think if your going to mexico there is only once choice and thats cancun. accapulco doesnt look so nice its a big city very mexican and all the clubs apparently blast out loud techno all night.

yea i was in cancun 2 times, in 05 and in 06.....but i dont think cancun will every be the same without la boom and the original fat tuesdays.....r.i.p, alot of memories were left at those 2 places

What's wrong with loud techno? And from the pics I've seen Accapulco is beautiful.

Its allot of what they play in clubs in England so its always too overplayed to me just think the white sands and turquoise seas of cancun kill that place everytime .
