Icon4 Best site to book a hotel? (& additional questions)

Hello all,

My friends and I are looking to drive down to PCB and stay roughly from March 6th - March 12th for our Spring Break.

I know it's last minute to book a hotel, but what would be the most reliable website to book a hotel? Or should I book them directly from the hotel's website? Just looking for what everyone else here generally uses for booking hotels in PCB.

Also, do all of the hotels have a age-limit on 'checking in' for the hotel?
For example, you have to be 25 years of age in order to check in for the room you reserve (we're all 19).

The list of hotels we're currently looking at are:

  • Best Western Suites (East Street)
  • La Quinta Inn and Suites (East Street)
  • Holiday Inn Select (MLK Boulevard)
  • Quality Inn and Suites (West Highway)
  • Red Roof Inn (US Highway 231)
Anyone recommend a specific one out of these? Or which to stay away from?

Thanks!

Easiest question.....Book directly through the hotel. Those other websites rip you off, they obviously have to over charge you or they wouldnt be in business.

There are many places down there that have an age limit of only 18. The hotels you are looking at prolly are cool with that

I wouldn't mess with any of those hotels. They're all a decent distance from the main strip, so unless you're desperate. Check out VRBOŽ is Vacation Rentals By Owner for a condo, or try to find a hotel closer to the strip..

Panama City Beach, FL - Google Maps

^ find a hotel there

vrbo worked really well for me last year. this year i didn't have any luck. i used expedia. only problem with expedia is that you have to pay the whole thing up front.

Hey...

If your lookin' for a hotel with a good party, close to stuff and free perks (free keg, 2 bbq's, spaghetti dinner, and a decent breakfast a few times) check out plazamotel.biz.

Its not the nicest place, but its a good party hotel. I've stayed there the last 4 times I've been to PCB and the hotel is party enough!

Its across the street from the beach, but it saves a bunch of money!

I had some friends that stayed here back in 2006. I visited them and it was the trashiest place I've ever seen. It was it worst shape than my dorm freshman year, and that's saying something.
