so our condo is amazing and beautiful. it is also extremely cheap. it's a 3 bedroom, 5 bed, 10 person condo. with 10 people, the price is only $180 a person.

my problem is getting the money from people. everyone WANTS to go... I'm just not getting the money.

so how can I convince them to fork it over ASAP!?

I have to send in the money 30 days before arrival. meaning, next week. ughhhh.

it always sucks being the one to do all the planning but someone has to do it right..

well this year i did what i usually do when faced with this. i had room for 4 people and needed the money asap so i told them all that i had 7 people wanting to come and only the first 4 to pay can be in. worked this springbreak and last yr. so maybe tell them that there's 12 of you wanting to go and the first 10 to pay by your due date can go. it puts a little pressure on and maybe they will be worried that they're gonna be left out so hopefully it gives them a sense of urgency.

i dunno, it's just a thought but mind games are key when it comes to money out of your own pocket!!

Yea I had to plan this year and last year and the best thing is stay on top of the ppl who say that they are going and (this may sound bad but...) steer clear of ppl who have constant money issues. Also avoid ppl that you know make plans and then bail at the last minute (happened to me last year). The best way to get ppl to come is to first show them where they are going to be staying and that will entice them. Next tell then that PCB is insane and that missing it is not an option. After that tell them the GREAT price that you have and that normal rates for places like that can easily be up to $400 dollars or more. As you can probably tell, I did all of this and I got $260 from 9 ppl in less than a week and booked 2 days later. HOPE ALL WORKS OUT!!!

I'd set a concrete date/deadline for when to have the money in by.....if they dont make said deadline, they don't go and you have to search for others via Tripsmarter, facebook, etc. IDK. Thats what I did last year and this year. Just make sure you get to know the people who reach out to you via ads saying you have space and a week stay would cost $180. You dont want to give people the time to procastinate until the last minute and F you over. March is coming fast.

Definitely spread the invite as far as possible since people always back out and you will need some backups. I had to organise this year so it was lucky there's only 3 of us but originally there was "over 10".

I have 8 condos booked in my name this year on spring break and I have 7 of them already paid for and the last one I just booked yesterday. I told everyone back in December that the money was due by like Jan 14th. I made someone in each condo pay the security deposit. The total wasnt due until the middle to end of Feb but by setting a deadline that far in advance I had plenty of time to get on everyone to pay by the date and if they were a little late I still had plenty of time to get them to or find replacements and it worked perfect.

It was a pain in the *** but I charged about $50-$70 extra per person and made about 4k so it was well worth it in the end.
