Go out in a boat!

Here's the best vacation tip you'll get... rent a boat and putter around on the water. There are plenty of pontoon rental places on Grand Lagoon and TONS of things to see and do. Stop by the Boatyard restaurant and tie up - have lunch or a cocktail. Go to Teddy Tuckers for a bite to eat or just listen to the music. Visit Shell Island, talk to a few dolphin... swim, sightsee... it's the best way to see the beach... from the water.

Have fun.

I agree! Those party barges (pontoon boats) can be alot of fun... You'll get to experience the beach from a unique perspective!

Wink

... Talk to a few dolphin?...

That reminds me, please when enjoying the outdoors, take proper precautions to avoid heat exhaustion and heatstroke.

And for those of you who like to fish... the Speckled Trout and Redfish are biting like crazy right now!

Cruise up into the bay (North of Hathaway Bridge) with some live bait or cut bait... look for water in the 4-5 ft range (usually near some of the points sticking out a little in the bay) and you'll catch your limit within an hour or two!

PS. Requires a fishing boat... pontoon boats are too slow to go all the way around and into North Bay. Sorry I didn't clarify that above.
