Thumbs up Jetski tours

Behind Hooters/Latitudes, there is a little white rental booth that supplies chairs, umbrellas, parasailing, and jetskis, etc. I took a picture of the name & number so I won't forget it, but I'll have to post it when I get the pics developed...

They have a 2 hour jetski tour and dolphin watch to Shell Island that is fantastic! I've done one before, but this was livelier-- the tour guide was wonderful, taking special care of the kids that were in the party, recommending everyone bring water and waiting an extra 20 minutes to allow some of the riders to go to the store prior to the trip... It was a more personal tour than ones I've done in the past, and we spent about 20 minutes on the dock side of Shell Island, talking about loggerheads and messing around with the giant hermit crabs. A trip like this is only as good as the tour guide, so if you go, ask for Chuck. (These guys work for tips, so please show them your appreciation!)

Trishben, we like the one that is Island Waverunner Tours next to the Treasure Ship restaurant. They have a great ride. The guy we had on that trip we took back in 2003 was from Wales. He was really great. Very talkative. Walked along Shell Island hunting shells with us. We tipped him afterward. Unfortunately, his group is not there anymore. They are under contract for two years and if they don't get renewed they move on. His name was Colin I believe. Very nice guy.
