Congrats on your reservations! You picked a great time to visit!

Check out our article about the celebrations going on in and around Panama City Beach for Independence Day. Looks like you'll have no problem finding something to do!

There will be lots going on during the 4th!

If you're looking for family-friendly stuff, any of the fireworks celebrations mentioned in that article are perfect. Plus, nearby Seaside, FL always has a really cool 4th of July Parade which begins at the Seaside Amphitheater.

If you're looking for a party... Spinnaker and La Vela will be happening all weekend long. Schooners is always fun if you like a more laid-back crowd. And, of course... there will be plenty of action at Pier Park.

And, if you like the water, Shell Island will be packed with fellow beach-goers all weekend.

Have fun!

Let us know how your trip goes... post some pics if you take any.

Over the past few years, there has been unofficial fireworks shows on the beach put on by people that bring the big stuff from Alabama. At Long Beach we can sit on our beach front balcony and look in both directions where small groups set up at the water's edge and start taking turns blasting rockets into the night over the Gulf. Because of our vantage point, we can see fireworks for miles in both directions.

Last year there was barge that came to a spot in front of Pineapple Willys and had a great show on the 5th.

The 4th is a great night to be at PCB!

You'll love it during the 4th. Yes, crowds are up but the beer is cold. The fireworks on the beach are everywhere. Be careful of the drunks with bottle rockets. Still, a very good time.

If you want a really great fireworks show you all should come up to Louisville for Thunder over Louisville (Kentucky Derby Festival Thunder Over Louisville :: Welcome!). It's the kick-off of the Kentucky Derby festival. Next year it is on April 18th. There is an airshow and the fireworks show lasts for about 30 minutes. During the show they shoot off around 60 TONS of fireworks.

Have a great time!! I will be down for the 4th as well. It's always a great time!!
