I've been looking for different events around the Panama City area, and I gotta say I'm impressed with the Marina Civic Center. They are bringing so many great shows to PC from concerts to touring Broadway Musicals, such as; Hairspray! and The Wedding Singer (yes, like the Adam Sandler movie- it is now a Broadway Musical!). To top it off tickets are reasonably priced. If you live here or are just visiting plan on attending one of these touring shows.
