Post Favorite meal in PCB

OK,Here's the deal. What is everyone's favorite resturant in Panama City? And what is your all time favorite meal when you get there?Mine is the stuffed flounder dinner at Hamilton's.It's a whole flounder stuffed with crabmeat dressing. It's big enough for two to share but I make a pig out myself and finish off the whole thing. Hamilton's is a great spot, but... I have to say that my VERY favorite meal is grilled Scamp Imperial at Capt. Anderson's... with the butter on the side, preceded by a Tomato Greek Salad and an order of Grilled Bay Shrimp, accompanied by a Hot Baked Potato, and a chilled bottle of Puligny Montrachet... followed up with a Key Lime Pie!

Hi KyBob, Toni. Without a doubt it's the Ribeye steak at Angelos. Oh boy, I can smell it now! I don't know what they do with their steaks exactly, but they're always great- I like 'em tender, juicy and with the echo of the last "moo" still ringing in the air. And that's just how I get it. Everytime. My wife and I go at least twice a month when we're in town, and we haven't had a bad meal yet!

Question

Does PCB have something like taste of the town? If not, they certainly should have. Call it Fantasy Meal or something. The perfect meal in PCB would be a combination of steamed shrimp from Capt. Anderson's (not sure what they're called, but they're delicious with the garlic and stuff), a filet from Angelos, crab cakes from Hamilton's, probably a dessert from Capt. Anderson's. I'd list more stuff, but I've only been to PCB a few times, and haven't had a chance to try too many different restaurants...If anybody's listening, a festival like this would be good for businesses wouldn't it? Do while tourists are there and then our fantasy meals may include more stops to more restaurants.

I love most any type of seafood.....but for starters....I wish I had a dozen raw oysters and a cold beer.

Thumbs up Best Meal in Panama City

For me the best seafood is either Scamp Imperial or Grilled Bay Shrimp at Capt. Andersons . For steak you have got to go to the Sunset Rest. on the beach . Charles Collins has a nicaraguan cut steak topped with grilled onions and marinated in greek seasoning . They call it the Charles Special Steak . I have had great steaks all over this world but this one tops the list . Capt. Andersons has a version of this steak as well , but we are partial to the Sunset version . Don't forget to have a piece of Italian Cream Cake while you are there , it is the best in the world .

Thumbs up Gettin' hungry!

Fried Oysters & Ice Cold Warsteiner Beer at Schooners! People say I'm prejudiced, but... I think the new recipe for fried dishes at Schooners is AWESOME... I have to admit I used to go there more for the view and the bands than the food, but they're really kicking butt with the new menu and a whole batch of new recipes. Of course, it's still very simple food - nothing fancy like some of the stuff mentioned here, but it's great beach food! Watch the waves roll in - eat good fresh seafood. Love it.

Cool

The Boon Docks just off of 79 at West Bay Bridge is a nice little out of the way spot. Try the Boat Trash.

Thumbs up Pappy's!

Until you've tried the hot sauerkraut and cold draft german beer at Pappy's in St. Andrews, you haven't lived! Be sure you order a side of Spaetzle, too! And, tell Crystal we said, "hi!"

I couldn't agree more heartily, Earl & Betty... and I'd add Wiener Schnitzel as the main dish!

The Spaetzle is unbelievable, and a cold bottle of Tucher Weiss beer washes it down nicely...
