We just returned from PCB for our 1 year anniversary. Everyone I had spoken recommended Capt. Anderson's so we went there for our anniversary dinner.
This dinner was the worst dining experience we have ever had! After ordering, it took 45 minutes to get our appetizer. When the waitress brought that, I had to ask for a refill on my drink (soda.) It took over 30 more minutes before the drink refill came out. We then had to ASK for a water refill for my wife. Another 30 minutes and the water came. At this time we asked where our dinner was. The waitress came back 20 minutes later with our food. My wife's food was good. I had ordered churasco steak cooked medium. I like med rare steak, but this steak was absolutely raw. The outside was barely browned and the inside was still raw meat. It couldn't even be considered "rare." I told the waitress to please show it to the cook and cancel my food order. All said and done, we were there for more than 3 hours and only my wife got to eat dinner. The only way the restaraunt attempted to appease me was taking the steak off the bill. The table behind us was also having the same type of experience, except neither of them could eat their undercooked meals. I do not reccomend this restaraunt to anyone. My wife's food was ok, and maybe my bad food was just some cook having a bad night. However, there is no excuse for poor customer service. |

Sounds like a bad night for them all the way around. I can say I've never had anything but good experiences at Capt A's... but I know every restaurant has bad nights. Sorry to hear your anniversary dinner was a disappointment.

Wow a first in my experience
Sorry you had a bad night there. It sounds like an awful night actually. Really do not know why you would sit for three hours though if all was that bad. I would cut my losses and headed elsewhere to salvage the evening.
I would give them one more try next trip and see if they can improve for you. I went a few months back for an ealry dinner and all was as I rememebered. A pleasant and delicious meal for the money for a party of three. I guess Capt A's is Capt D's this time around for you. |
