Bummer about Luna Del Mar. We were looking forward to some real tex-mex. M<aybe we'll try Cuvee Beach instead. Sounds cool.

I know Angelos has the reputation, and it is good, but I think Triple J's is just as good, without the long wait.

We ate at Triple J's yesterday... it's one of our favorite stops for lunch.

But it's hard to beat the steaks at Angelo's... I think the wait is worth it.

Could be. I'm just not a very patient person, I guess. Do you know of any good places left to eat on the beach that have outdoor dining? I know Pineapple Willy's does and Spinnaker. Can you advise any others? Thanks.

Schooners has outdoor dining on the Beach and is a local favorite. Boatyard has outdoor dining at the docks on Grand Lagoon (behind Capt. Anderson's).

In town, you may want to try Uncle Ernie's in St. Andrew's. They've got a wonderful deck for dining right on the Bay. And Bayou Joe's Downtown is also on the Bay with outdoor dining.

I'm sure I'll think of more... I'll reply with them when I do.

Boatyard
Schooners

Oh yeah...

Hook's Grill and Grog at the Treasure Ship (also on Grand Lagoon)
Harpoon Harry's (next to Breakers)
Sharky's
Lime's in Bay Point (the old Teddy Tucker's)

We eat at Dirty Dicks crab shack last year and it wasn't really that good plus it cost me for a salad and a drink $11.00. I liked some of the shirts but the food wasn't worth it.

Pineapple Willie's

Ate at Pineapple Willie's last night. Had the ribs. Ate out side on the short pier. Food was decent. but was pricey for what you got.. Kind of a touisty type place. I will probably try something new before going here any time soon.

They do cater to the tourist crowd, but we've always had more than ample portions there. Their salads are very good, like the Cobb. It was huge. By the way, how were things on the beach?

Try one of their baskets(Chicken, Fried Shrimp, Grouper Finger)!! My wife and I love the Grouper Finger basket. You get plenty and for $8.99 it's hard to beat.

Pineapple Willie's is really good, but I much prefer Spinnaker's ribs. The quality is just as good, the price is lower and you don't have to wait in line as often. In fact, I enjoy eating at Spinnaker as much as anywhere on the beach. It's come a long ways from when Spinnaker had only a modest snack bar on the far side of the room from the dance floor, and that has only been about 10 years or so. I have yet to have a bad meal there, and I love the beach views.

Spinnaker Ribs and Burgers

I'm so happy to hear you say that, rilynil, Spinnaker does not get enough credit for the GREAT food and awesome experience they offer. I spent a rather raucous youth there *ha!* and, I go back a lot ... but, these days, for BBQ Chicken and the view and friendly atmosphere. One of my favorite places!

I can't believe I forgot to mention Spinnaker's cheeseburgers. They're the best I've had anywhere. I'm a guy with a big appetite and, Spinnaker's burgers and fries never fail to fill me up. If it sounds as if I'm a Spinnaker fan, it's only because I am. I've been a frequent visitor for almost 20 years, and I own so many T-shirts, I may as well own stock in the business. I'll have to try the BBQ chicken sometime.

Cool Pomano's

The beach looks good. The water is getting clearer every day. There is alot of seaweed on the beaches. I heard that the seaweed will be left on the beach in hopes that it will capture and retain some sand.

Anyways .. last night we ate a Pomanos'. It has a wonderful view of the super Walmart on the other side of the lake. I ordered fried seafood platter. Again I was not impressed. The food was kind of bland. Atmosphere was nice but they had our food at our table before we finished our salad. Which tells me they are not worried about the quality of the dining experience but the quanity of people they can push though the place. I can't believe the prices either.

Hopefully before we leave PC I will find a restaurant I can brag about. I 'm hearing from the wife chucky cheese may be in our future. ..YUCK

Try Boatyard

Hey... mbauer23, try Boatyard. We've 'grown up' alot and getting better everyday. If you give me a 'heads up' when you go, I'll make sure they are expecting you!

Is Salty's By the Sea still in business? If so, any reviews?
