Red Rose Pizzeria Etc. is my newest pick for a great lunch or dinner place. The pizza is excellent...perfect crust with cheese and toppings seasoned to perfection, and the homemade Italian salad dressing is to die for...seriously the best I've ever tasted.
I also sampled the Chicken and Spinach Alfredo, the Seafood Alfredo (with shrimp and scallops), and the Baked Ziti with Meatballs....all of which were amazing. The owners will make you feel like part of the family. The atmosphere is cozy, casual, and warm, and the aroma drifting from the kitchen will comfort you like a hug from your favorite Italian grandmother. Does anyone in PCB have a recommendation for a place with good "home made" hot soup that's open for lunch? Served in a bread bowl makes it even better, but not a necessity. We went to 2 different places at lunch yesterday, and neither of them had soup...
It's the perfect lunch during chilly the months. |

Well it's not in Panama City or on the beach, but Toucan's in Mexico Beach has some damn good soups.
I'm going to check out Red Rose Pizzeria one of these days also. From your description, it sounds delicious. |

It turns out that Bagels and Beyond serves hot soup too! I was in the other day for a mochacino and noticed someone eating a bowl of Lentils, and discovered that they always have at least two kinds of homemade soup.
Anyone in this area that hasn't eaten there yet, really must give it a try. It's wonderful. It's located right next door to Rock'it Lanes in The Shops at Edgewater shoppng center. |

Also note that Bagels & Beyond serves KOSHER food. Seems to be the only place in PCB that does. Also vegetarian fare. They also are a wireless hot spot. The Moscow Grocery & Internet a few doors down also has wireless. Someone at tripsmarter should add these (and the Flamingo Coin Laundry near the Dollar General & that Bingo parlor down by the Hathaway bridge) to the site internet access listings.

Scampy's
Homemade clam chowder and gumbo we also had bread. The lunch menu was fabulous loads of choices. When we went back the second time at try out the dinner the soups were still availible.
