Can someone tell me if Harry's is open or closed? One thread said it was closed but their web site appears to be up and running. Also comments on Scampy's.. good ?? Need family friendly. Thanks

Harpoon Harry's is still open and should be for at least the whole summer season.

I've had worse and I've had better as far as Scampy's goes, it's inexpensive for lunch. $6 or $7 for a good sized meal.

Our condo is on the far west end of the beach almost to Laguna....and we always make a trip down to Scampy's. But our favorite cheap eats is definitley Louies! Yep, that little pink restaurant on the west end of back beach road. The food is excellent! You can get the most excellent Seafood platter (grilled or fried) for around $10 instead of the $25 you'll pay at Sharky's or whereever. Lots of fun with sand & tile floors with picnic tables and beach umbrellas inside! Even a little stage for karaoke, bands, etc....Highly recommended!
