Buffets can be hit or miss, but I would absolutely not recommend this place to my worst enemy. At $22 per adult, you could feed your family at McDonald's or Burger King. I'd check out the reviews on this place before you go. There are much better places to eat in PCB than Capt. Jack's!!

If price is not an issue, i would recomend Captain Crabby's on top of Treasure Ship. All you can eat boiled shrimp, crawfish, crab legs, sausage, potatoes and corn on cob with salad, bread and tea. You also can get Prime Rib to go with it for extra. Very good food, and lots of it but price is really steep. I think its 28 bucks. But i guess you are also paying for name and atmosphere. Nice looking out over the lagoon while having dinner.
Bayou Bills is my favorite place to eat while in PCBeach. excellent food with with fair price and not long wait times. |

We are going to destin first of July but we alway spend one day in PCB we have alway eaten at Bishop's family buffet. Anyone else out there have a good seafood buffet in PCB?

Don't know bout Bishops but captain Jacks isn't worth what they charge. You barely get any seafood, and the other food isn't that great.
I have stopped going to buffets and enjoying menu items that are much better and fill u up just as well. Captain Jacks does have crab legs tho. The only reason I eat at a buffet is my son loves crab legs but the last few times they've sucked. |

Capt. Jacks
I see lots of BAD post about Captain Jacks... But we are CRAB LEG eaters.. So it's great for us... It's more what I call country food on the buffet, which the kids LOVE.. and the seafood selection is mostly fried... BUT GREAT CRAB LEGS... WE LOVE THE PLACE.. GO THERE EVERY year when we visit... and we have been at least 10 times and not been disappointed.. The waiters and waitress are normally great....

Oh I agree.. My son LOVES the crab legs, and you can't get all you can eat in resturants if they even have them on the menu, so, It is worth it for that. I guess I was expecting more seafood since I don't eat the crab legs, too much trouble for me, I just want to eat, lol, but, only a couple things on there. Then, My mom is the best southern cooker in the world, and she spoiled us all with her good food, so, I don't like the way their southern food taste. But, my son did like their fried chicken legs. And the deserts is awesome! I guess by the time you eat enough crab legs and good dessert, all the other is just extras, so it is worth it if you go for the crab legs!

By the way, I am not even sure if where we ate 2 years in a row is captain jacks. It is right off the beach on the right and it has like a boat in front I'm thinkitng a green looking boat.

Capt. Jacks and Bishops are both good but...... they are a little pricey for what all is offered. In comparison, try going to Myrtle Beach and wandering into one of the Callabash style buffets there!
Good lord, way more food there then you can possibly imagine eating.

Update: We returned from pcb July 1st and while there we did eat at captain Jacks on Thomas drive, and it was VERY GOOD. My son loves the crab legs, so, we had already ate at schooners, and decided to try out the buffet, and we got there right when they put out the dinner buffet at 3:30 and it was hot, fresh, and good! They didn't have a lot of dessert items but the banana pudding was very good.
We took at look at Bishops and it looked Nasty so we went on to captain Jacks.. I looked at Mariners is the one we ate at last year and it was okay but we wanted to try a different one. |

sometimes our eyes are bigger than our stomachs.
The reason I enjoy a good buffet at times, although I Love ordering from a menu, is I like to fix my own salad etc and sometimes certain things aren't as good when the chef makes it, like the cheese piled high on a salad etc. at least for me. I like it like that. Plus, in florida my son likes the all you can eat crab legs. I like ordering from the menu too tho.
