Need Help Deciding Where to Eat!!!!!
Hi all,
My family and I are going to PCB in a week and I have looked at all the restaurants online and I am having a hard time deciding. We have to plan ahead because we will be on a budget, so where are the best, most reasonable places to eat with also the best atmosphere because that is very important to us. Also, do any of you people know anything about long beach becuz that is where we are staying. I know it's very near alot of the construction so i hope that doesn't get on my nerves because I get unravelled very easily. Thanks if you can help me. Ellen |

Hi Ellen,
Long Beach is very nice. After Edgwater Beach Resort, it could be my second choice. If it is not too late, you may want to try Edgewater Beach Resort. Pool is much better and so are the grounds in general, but Long Beach probably does have the better room design. Hopefully you rented directly from an owner......you can save a bunch of money on the rooms. Food - I will give you a listing of our favorites for years. Sweet Basil - Italian - Affordable Los Rancheros - Mexican - Affordable Sonny's - BBQ -Affordable Breakers - Expensive Capt Anderson - Expensive Schooners - Affordable Home Made Ice Cream Shoppe Ruthie T's - Expensive Beach BBQ - Affordable -----oh ....they sold out Pompano - Expensive Boars Head - Expensive Calypso - Affordable |

Ellen, Sonny's BBQ is not worth the money. We were disappointed with their BBQ, I can tell you we like Triple J's Steakhouse, while the steaks might be a little pricy, but good, they do have great burger and fry platters and a nice atmosphere. I think they also serve chicken tender platters. It is at 2218 Thomas Drive. Great place! I mentioned a good little Italian restaurant called Salvatores also. Great food and reasonable! Even included the address. Dan's Old South BBQ is at 17501 Panama City Pkwy. Are there kids with you, etc? Check out the PC Beach online restaurant guide below!

Reasonably priced as to appetizers, sandwiches, beach baskets, etc. http://www.sharkysbeach.com/sandwiche.html http://www.hammerheadfreds.com/offthegrill.html Last edited by beachnut; June-22nd,2006 at 01:27 PM. |

I do the same thing...I'm actually doing my budget and making sure I get to fit everything I want to do in while I'm there. I stayed at Longbeach 2 years ago, and it was very nice...just depending on what condo you get, it may be more nice in other rooms. I loved my room.
Every year we go to Pineapple Willy's and Motego Bay. Just last year we went to The Boatyard and absolutely fell in love with it. It is pretty expensive. My husband and I ate for $60 total, including tip. We are going back this year for sure, but that means of course that we have to save on money else where!! |

You definitely should give Spinnaker on Thomas Drive a try. Nobody in PCB beats their cheeseburgers, and I think their ribs are better than Pineapple Willie's (and much cheaper too). They also have shrimp baskets and such. I've never had a bad meal at Spinnaker, and it's been my favorite place to eat for many years now. If you go once, I'll bet you'll go back again

Need Help Deciding Where to Eat!!!!!
We just returned from PCB. Had a great time and great food! Schooner's was good, we loved Hurricane Grille and my son liked Pineapple Willie's. We tried the Boatyard this year and it was great! The food at Harpoon Harry's was surprisingly good....but my favorite was Bayou Bill's Crabhouse! The crablegs were the best I have ever had! I could have eaten two buckets of legs! Our most expensive bills were at Harpoon Harry's and Bayou Bill's (but we also had frozen drinks!)

Isn't it funny how alot of people go to a beach paradise like that and eat chicken and cheeseburgers! I prefer a good juicy cheeseburger any day over crab legs. I tell you one thing, Tops barbecue here has one of the best drippy juicy cheeseburgers you could ever put in your mouth. We eat spaghetti, steak, pizza, and sub sandwiches when down. Practically eat the same food we eat up here.
