Hi guys,
I'm looking for recommendations based on first hand experience on really good Italian (I'm not talking Basil's here) and Mexican/Salvadoran/Latin food... a friend of mine will be joining us in PCB for a few days, and she doesn't eat fish of any kind (slightly reformed vegetarian + a picky eater). Steve, I saw you recommend in another post Ferrucci's, is this italian, and is heavy on the coastal italian? I assume it's in the city, can you tell me where? Any help would be great! Thanks, Trish |

hi,
West of Hwy 79 about 2-3 miles on Front Bch Rd is Pasta Grill. They have good meals. Lunch time has good prices.Evening is twice the price for a little more food on plate. They are getting busy now. everything is homemade and very good. Service is friendly and owner will come out of kitchen and chat with you. Spicy Noodle on Back beach rd(98) across Phillips Inlet is very good and plenty of food for the money. They have a variety including Italian and also very good pizza. Ciao |

Ferrucci's is great. You won't be disappointed. I waited tables there for a year or so and tried pretty much everything on the menu and it was all delish. We go for lunch occassionally and we're overdue for a dinner there. It's on Harrison Ave, just past the Martin Theater.

Agreed!
Pasta Grill is good. Try the Penne al Vodka. Good stuff.

Hi Trishben!
ANGELINAS in Seagrove Beach is by far the best Italian I have had yet! The prices are great, the food is excellent and it is a cute place. I ate at Adano (Rosemary Beach) last night it was good but not in any comparison to some restaurants in the area. You said your friend likes vegis and is a picky eater... I LUV, LUV, LUV the Thia food place Nuna's in PCB. It's not much to look at (I usally order to go) but the food is AWESOME. I eat there almost twice a week. Hope that helps! By the way... I got a little job slinging wine at the Courtyard Wine & Cheese bar in Rosemary Beach. Come by if you are ever in the area. (66 Main St.) kp |

Hi Kimber,
Good to hear from you, I was wondering if you moved or were still in the area! I enjoy Thai, but the picky eater within my semi-vegetarian friend doesn't care for rice... or a number of other things. Honestly I wonder sometimes how she doesn't starve to death, LOL. We will check out Angelina's, and we both love wine and cheese, so we'll stop in and say hi! |

Last year we went to Salvatores for spaghetti and made the mistake of getting there right at 11:00 and not long after in came a bunch of college age kids, probably from Gulf Coast Community College. Everyone of the young girls got nothing but a bowl of pasta salad. Nice little dining area. It is located on Hutchison at Beckrich. Love their pasta. Reasonably priced also. Better to go around 1:00 or 2:00 though to avoid the college crowd. Won't make that mistake again this year.
