We went down the 2nd week of June and couldn't wait to eat at our favorite restaurant...Fish Stock in their new location. We were quite concerned, though....every night that we ate there, the place was somewhat empty. They were having a slight sewage problem and we saw at least 2 couples get up and leave because of the smell. The waitress told us that the past few nights had been the same way...she stated that she'd only made $20 in tips the night before....which was from about 3 tables. Basically, the place was dead. I am going back in September and am HOPING that I will still find Fish Stock open and booming. To my family, they really do have the best food in the city. Anyone been lately that can calm my fears??

The problem with the smell was a very simple problem that had plagued even Ruthie T's for the last couple of years. It is fixed now and the food is definitely as good as ever. You should go see Clutch in the Room next door. They perform Wednesday through Saturday 9pm-1am all Summer long.
I used to work there and had to move back down south, unfortunately, but I can tell you before I left there last week everything was definitely picking up and the kinks in the old building are coming together just fine.
