New to the Area - Need Advice

Hello there! Just found this site and did a quick search but didn't find what I was looking for. My wife and I just moved to the area and I was looking for recomendations on where to go for our anniversary. We like to go out to dinner at a nice place. I'm looking for a place where a tie would not be out of place for dinner but flip flops would be. It doesn't have to be super formal, but like I said, we like to dress up a little and have a really nice dinner.

We love all kinds of food (we've been especially enjoying the seafood here) and are open to all suggestions.

Thanks for the help!

I would suggest Canopie's on HWY 98. Or if you feel like driving a little, try Criolla's in Grayton Bch (HWY 30-A).

You can see reviews for both restaurants here:
Panama City Beach Dining
(once on that page, click next to see Criolla's)

Both of those restaurants make for great Anniversary dates.
Good luck!

Oh yeah....

One more to consider is 30 Degree Blue in Bay Point. Another that I would consider fine dining for the area.

See reviews for 30 Blue here:

The Terrace Restaurant at the West end of Hwy 98 at Inlet Beach next to Spicy Noodle is a fine dining restaurant. There was a menu in the townhouse we rent for that restaurant. Has anyone eaten there that posts on this board??? But here is their link that provides info about the restaurant and their menu!

The Terrace Restaurant has a good looking menu. It is Greek food of course. But they have alot of seafood on their menu. I wanted to give them a try but knew my husband wouldn't go for the dress up type of place. If you try it out would love to hear how it is for when we are down the next time.

One more

Capt. Andersons is always great, too.
And the Boars Head is an interesting traditional alternative.... they can realllllly pour on the romance if you give them a call before hand.

I think one of the most romantic would be Cafe Provence on 30A.
Or, Criolla's.

Happy Anniversary, by the way!

Thanks all for your welcome and your invaluable advice. My wife and I decided to try a few places this past week. We were able to go to Capt. Andersons the other night and we ended at Canopie's tonight for our actual anniversary dinner. We started with the she crab soup and I had the grilled tuna while my wife enjoyed the bacon wrapped shrimp. Both were excellent and we'll definately be visiting again before they move.

Next week we'll be trying Croilla's.

I can tell you this - The Boatyard has some of the best atmosphere around. Toni & crew really went all out on the decor. Swing by, you won't be disappointed.
