Casa de Fogo is located on Front Beach sort of across from Mikato in what looks like a repurposed Western Sizzlin building. It's been years since we've eaten here, but I could swear they used to be across the bridge...? Anyway...
A brazillian churrasco is where the servers (called gauchos) come by with skewers of food that they carve at your table. It's usually meat (beef, pork, turkey, chicken and sausage are usually heavily represented) but sometimes pineapple and the like. (Margit, pls jump in and correct me if I've gotten anything wrong)
Casa de Fogo is wonderful, even if the buliding and decor is a little odd. The staff is a delight to be around, and the food is wonderful. Even the linguisa (sausage) which I generally don't eat was very good... And the gauchos were awesome, marvelling (along with us) at how much our little 4'11, 100 lb friend could eat. The waiter made a point of saying how suprised he was, saying that all the staff wanted her to know it was a pleasure to have her there. Uh huh.
And the creme brulee is a MUST. They were out when we were there, so we split a chocolate cherry cheesecake, which was near heavenly.
Over the top friendly, wonderful food, cheaper that other churrascos we've dined at, definitely a
