We made Pier77 our first stop when we hit town. The food and service was great. I noticed that the vast majority of cars there had Florida tags. I asked some frequent flyers of the place what they liked best. I think I tried WAY too much of everything but it was all so good. Nice prices, cheap drinks and very nice people made for a great experience. We plan on coming back.

We found a great place to eat over in Saint Andrews. Just go across the Hathaway Bridge and stay on the main drag until you come to the intersection of Beck Street. Take a right, and you'll go a few blocks down Beck Street. Hunt's Bar and Grill is on your left (yellow building). It's a local hangout, and the food is always fresh. Raw oysters are the best....no grit, and right off the boat everyday. I also recomment the crab cakes, grilled, baked, or blackened. Service is great, food is wonderful, and prices are very reasonable. We are planning a trip back to PCB this weekend for a week, and our first stop to eat will be Hunt's. It was featured in Southern Living. That's how we found it, and we weren't disappointed. Plan to eath there several nights while there. They will also pack fresh oysters for you to take home with you....just let them know when you want to pick them up and they'll be ready! Hope you try it and enjoy it as much as wee do.
As for Pineapple Willy's, they sure don't know how to make ribs! Yuck! It seems they just heat up some ribs and slap some sauce on them hoping you won't know the difference! |

sorry you didn't like the ribs at Willys. We ate there twice last week and we enjoyed everything we got including the ribs. There's a couple of places in St. Andrews that we intend to try but we never crossed the bridge this time. Maybe we'll venture away from the beach a little more next trip down.

I will have to agree with you on that. BTW Boondocks has the best fried pickles on the planet.

I think I've decided that the service is as important as the food. Always liked Pineapple Willys as I've posted here before. Emailed them about any further Tripsmarter discounts-no response. Emailed them about any advanced notice they might want before a lagre group came to eat-no response. So a group of friends, family and former co-workers (27 of us) went to Margaritaville at the end of Thunder Beach. Even though they were VERY busy they took excellant care of us. The food and service was great! Today, my wife, daughter and I went to Pineapple Willys for lunch. The food was very good but the service sucked. Our waiter would disappear only to be found at one end of the building playing with his "smart" phone and smoking a cigarette, twice. We paid, left and don't plan on going back anytime soon. Still all in all it's great to be in PCB!

Looks like you don't have to know how to spell to be a reporter??

So sad, it seems every forum or blog has a self appointed spell checker, even this one. I miss a key here and there, very sorry. Is this any better ma'am? ![]()

I'm sure we'll swing by to refill our drink mugs if we're in the area. I hope you're right about the shelf life of the bad server Bryan. Even a good business can't afford having a bad employee on their frontline dealing with the people who pay them.

First off, I wasn't talking about you, Bryan. I don't believe you said you were a reporter in any of your posts. I was referring to cinibun2's post on page 1. I'm not a "self appointed spell checker"; I just found it funny that the person claimed to be a reporter, but couldn't even spell.

I took no offence at all, I was laughing because I DID miss a few keys. Thought it was me...my bad. But when someone posts up about spelling instead of contributing something helpful to the thread they are a spel chkr n mi bouk. No offence. cheers
