I have not had great raw oysters in PCB...can anyone recommend a great place? Atmosphere counts! I love outdoor decks and live music. Thanks so much!

Shuckum's and Dusty's on the West end, two different places. Dusty's food isn't very good except for their oysters, and they have two world champion oyster shuckers that work there.
Captains Table in town is excellent, all of their seafood is local and fresh including their oysters. Rustlers Reef is also good, which is in town. I'm sure there are more in town, I can't think of any more at the moment though. Shuckum's is the only place that has an outdoor area, but all of those places have great oysters. |

We always eat oysters at Shuckum's. We ate at Rustlers Reef once and I wasn't impressed.

They moved, then closed earlier this year... did they reopen somewhere?
(we loved their Wednesday special in their original location - steak tips and rice, green beans, bread and sweet tea |

Bayou on the beach is on Thomas drive (as of July 2007). Going towards the state park it is on the right hand side.
