Also, Gene's Oyster Bar in Millville was great.... but, I haven't bee since I was a kid, so I'm not sure if they're still around. I'll try and find out.
I use to love going to Gene's for some good oysters. I haven't been there in a couple years thou. But last I remember it was fairly cheap.

Gene's IS still in Millville. I was recently there and took some photos. You can check it out at my website: [Link Removed by Admin]

Going in July and can't wait

I'm the only one in my family who eats raw oysters (the kids love them baked though) and I know Dusty's has other food because I've checked out the website. Does Hunt's have a decent menu too for DH? And how does Shuckums stack up? Good oysters, but higher priced?

Mrs Peel will become famous soon enough
The last couple of times we went to Shuckums, we were disappointed in both the service & the food. Maybe they've changed management because we used to love the place. We haven't been to Dusty's or Hunt's, but we're going to try one or the other of them on our next trip (maybe both, who knows!)

Definitely give Hunts a try. They're back on Beck Avenue in St. Andrews again. Good lunch menu.

Also, a friend was recently raving about the oysters at Dusty's. I wasn't impressed with the food at Dusty's a couple years ago, but they've always had good oysters. Maybe their menu has improved...

And, welcome to the forums!

TOTALLY AGREE ABOUT SHUCKUMS !!! we were there saturday , oysters were good (5.75) , i asked about the grouper sandwich, " we don't have grouper, we have alaskan cod ". I'M NOT IN ALASKA ! I WANT FRESH GULF SEAFOOD !!! anyway we won't go back to shuckums,

Thumbs up

Thanks so much. Last trip DH convinced me to go to Sharky's for my oyster fix, and I wasn't impressed. Loved the drink and the other food, kids liked the playground but it was expensive, crowded (DH had to go for dinner and not lunch) and just not the laid back experience I was looking for. I think maybe this time I'll sneak off on my own and get my oyster fix. I can eat in peace without all the Yuck comments from the kids.

Hi everyone,

Reading all these posts about where to eat is making me hungry!!!
Anyway, is the Quarter Deck still around (Panama City)? I always loved eating oysters there.
I know next time I am in Panama, I am going to check out the Boatyard- just from all positive
posts.

Sadly, the Quarter Deck is no longer open. In my opinion, they had the best oyster and beer deals in PCB.

I know it is a silly dream, but my dream job would be to buy the Quarter Deck and open it back up. I have wanted to own that place since I can remember eating there years ago. I just wish I knew some people to go into business with.

Boondocks is the best!!

J Michael's has wonderful raw oysters.

Wouldn't give Hunt's the time of day!! Customers are last here.
