Angry Boon Docks won't see me again

I have been to Boon Docks 4 times and this was my last. I went last July and this July with both trips disappointing. The wait was long (total time there 2 hours this year and 4 hours last). The appetizers were great and fried fish has been good in the past. I had grilled grouper last year and this year and it was unfit to eat, plus grouper was $23 now, a large increase.

There are too many good restaurants in PCB to put up with this. Check out Boatyard, Capt Andersons, Uncle Ernies for seafood.

Sorry to hear you had a bad experience.

I know the wait can get out of hand there. It's become very popular the past few years.

But, every time I've been to Boondocks the food has been outstanding. I always get the grouper and scallops combo platter and have never been disappointed.

Your list of alternative Seafood restaurants is good, too.

Where else did you eat? Any other recommendations for PCB visitors?

BAYOU BILLS!!!! Their dozen is 14 making it lots of food to eat. The Shrimp is so yummmmy and their Gumbo is to die for. The appetizer called Paradise Shrimp for 2 will make you want to slap yo-mama!!!

This is my Mother's favorite place to eat when we come to PBC, I hope she doesn't have as bad of an experience as you did alabamabeachlover, and I am sorry to hear about your bad experience BTW.

Have a wonderful time and we can only hope you have better experiences huh? Do try Bayou Bills though and i bet you will have a better "Favorite Place" when you eat there. Just tastes fresher to me and you do get alot of food. One dont leave there hungry.

Hate to pile on but...

I took my family to Boondocks in Oct. 2008 for the first time. The lady who sat us was very nice as was the lady who took our money as we left. Everything else was BAAAD! I really love fried food but the oil tasted very old and ruined what appeared to be nice cuts of fish. The waitress was just short of rude. Anyone can have an off night and I hope this was the case with our bad experience.
