I would hope that it's because most of it is caught locally & is fresh vs. seafood that's farmed and then shipped frozen from Lord knows where. I hadn't noticed the prices being unreasonable; guess it depends on where you dine. Capt. Anderson's is a little pricey, but excellent, so we save that for special occasions. Otherwise, Schooners, Scampy's (especially for lunch) and Montego Bay, just to name a few, have always offered a good meal at a decent price.
Where did you eat that you thought it was too expensive?

well we ate at some place in panama city dicks or something dicks. anyway we got 2 chick fingers and 2 crabs and fries and it was like $15.00 to me that is just a little high. that was lunch too. and when you are trying to feed 4, that is just a little much.

I think there's a place in PCB called Dirty Dick's Crab House. It's a chain restaurant instead of a local Mom & Pop which might explain it. They probably get all their seafood shipped in from their distributor; don't know for sure, just a guess. Next time you're in PCB, try one of the "local" places & I bet you'll be a lot happier!

IMO...Dirty Dicks is very overrated and overpriced. We tried it out last Memorial Day and ended up just ordering a drink and leaving.

Agree wholeheartedly about DD's. Husband ordered the pound of King crab legs meal for something like $35 and he got 2 legs, two boiled potatoes and a half ear of corn. We enjoy Boondocks, a little place on Hwy 79 in West Bay, and our meal at Capt. Anderson's (first time in years) was good last month.
