Frankie D's on Thomas Drive has the best pizza on the beach! Chicago-style... everything about it is good. The crust, the sauce... everything! It's one of our favorites.
Spicy Noodle on HWY 98 at Inlet Beach also has great pizza. They use only the freshest ingredients, which is awesome if you like lots of veggies on your pizza. And, not sure when it will be open (looks very soon) but PCB is getting a Mellow Mushroom! Near the corner of Thomas Drive and Joan Ave, next to Hammerhead Fred's. I;ve eaten at the one in Destin and they have very unique and tasty pizza combinations. Also, lots of great beer on tap (including Sweetwater flavors). And Joey's PIzza is a thicker New York style. They have a killer Sicilian. They only have a couple tables, so it's better for delivery. Hope that helps. And, yes... I'm a pizza lover! Last edited by swn5363; August-5th,2007 at 01:02 PM. |

Hungry Howies had a good pizza for being a sub place. Of course, we just got a one topping pizza but I thought it was pretty tasty. We plan one eating at the Spicy Noodle as it is right across the street from where we stay.

The Mellow Mushroom is open for business. A couple of my coworkers had lunch there last week and they both ranted and raved about how good it was.
I've heard that Salvatore's @ the Publix Shopping Center on Middle Beach is really good too. |

Where is the Mellow Mushroom located and do they deliver? We usually order a pizza the first night we're there because we're too tired to go out!

I don't know if they deliver, but they're located @ 8746 Thomas Drive right next door to Hammerhead Fred's.

pizza delivery
Noticed someone said Joeys for delivery Not ever again for us took 1 hour and 45 min and then had to call them 4 times before they got there and had to go out on the street and chase down the delivery man . We were less than 1 mile from them on surf drive.

Is New York's Famous Pizza and Pasta (on 23rd near Best Buy) owned by the people who run Joey's in PCB???

We've never had luck with Joey's (I think it is New York Famous). Slow, and the food not great, but that's MhO. For pizza if you want a chain but good, try Howies, or you can't go wrong with Frankie D's.

Pizza....
Mellow Mushroom is yummy .... but they tend to "over do" the toppings ... but if you like that ... go for it.
There is a place on Thomas Drive called Port O Call ... they have a good pizza and the have GYROS!! Started branching out to calzones and stromboli's too .... some folks don't like their sauce, but I enjoy it.. and you can get white pizza which is completely yummers. Winter hours now and they have a buffet from 11-2 .... salad bar, pizza, calzone/stromboli, tacos (on Thursday) or other pasta - $8 out the door....what a deal. Frankie D's ... It's hit or miss w/ them ... from my experience. Of course, it could be the level of intoxication that any of us are at and the hunger factor... Joey's ... ICK. HOW does a pizza place run out of red sauce and pepperoni on a Friday night??? Good grief. He did start out really great -but the quality has diminished.

After living at the beach for 3 years, we found out about Marco's on Thomas Drive. They have a really good menu selection on toppings and sauces. We love their crust; not to thick nor thin. Located next to Lisa's Kitchen that has great sandwiches for lunch.
Our backup pizza is Hungry Howies. They are the most consistant on their quality. |
