I'm not aware of any chip shops in PCB...but, depending on when you're coming down for Spring Break you may be here during the Panama City Highland Games & Scottish Festival on March 19th, 2009.

I'm sure they'll have something right up your alley food-wise!

There are all kinds of seafood restaurants in PC Beach. I'd call around and ask. Or you can look for the good old standby of Captain D's that serve fish and chips. These are fast food places. The little crunchy things on this plate we call chips. YUM YUM. You mention chip shops but say you love a smoked sausage in batter supper. That sounds tasty also but not very likely you will find that unless you go to that German restaurant in Pier Park maybe.

There is a Captain D's on 23rd Street in Panama City.

And the Hofbrau Beer Garden in Pier Park in PC Beach has German beer and German cuisine which probably includes sausage, battered I don't know. But I've heard good things about the place from a friend. Check it out.

Mrs Peel will become famous soon enough
When we were in London, we ate fish n chips several times at different pubs. You're right, it's a great base to go pub crawling on! Also, it was much better than what you'll get at Long John Silver's or Capt. D's, but they might do in a pinch. Like Beachnut said, there are lots of seafood places on the beach; check them out! Schooners or Spinnakers are right on the beach & their menus are on their website.
