Good hamburger
hey Ridge. It has been a couple of years but Spinnaker does have a good burger. Five Guys has no flavor at all. If we find a good one while we are there, I will let you know. My husband usually gets a craving for a good burger while we are down. We might try Montego Bay. I see they have one for $6.99 and the rest of their food is pretty good. I will let you know.

Thanks Mikatkait. We ate at Spinnakers in 02 , I think, and the burger was really good. Seems like we went through a period when they may have been closed since we often get there late in the season but I may be thinking about somewhere else. We plan on being there early in October so I'm sure we'll visit Spinnakers again. Let me know if you find another place you guys like, even if you don't try the burgers. Have a happy 4th!

If anything is close to Schooner's it's Margaritaville's Cheeseburger in Paradise. But Schooner's gets the vote for me as well. I still haven't gone to Five Guy's yet, Red Brick Pizza keeps getting my money instead.

We're going to make our first visit to Margaritaville in October. I took advantage of some of the deals offered by Tripsmarter and grabbed some discounts to various locations. What else is good at Margaritaville's?

The Jamaican Jerk Chicken isn't bad. Stay away from the alcoholic beverages there though, unless you're willing to pay the rip-off tourist price, b/c thats what you're going to get charged, local or tourist. And they come in these tiny little plastic cups. I almost feel as if they just make a giant shot of the drink and charge you $8-10 for it. Beer also comes in the tiny cups, unless you pay $10 for a glass with margaritaville on it, then your beer will come in the glass. If you can sit outside, the view is great if you ask me, but nothing compared to what you'll get at Schooner's. And Pineapple Willy's is always a good place to check out.

Thanks idrivefast22 for the info. Since we bought the Tripsmarter discounts drinks may still be in the works at Margaritaville. You're right about Pineapple Willys! The view and the drinks are great. It had been a few years since we actually ate there but we continued to enjoy the drinks. Last year we ate at Willys a couple of times and the food was really good. We'll check out Spinnakers too.

Go figure?!
Wouldn't you think the signature items @ Jimmy Buffett's Margaritaville would be the Margaritas & the cheeseburgers? Not the case at all! We expected both to be a gorgeous, delicious experience. The margarita came in this extremely small plastic cup, no garnish, not even any salt. The cheeseburger was by far the absolute worst cheeseburger I'd ever had. It was dry, no dressings, no onion or tomato although it did have a huge piece of the most inedible part of the lettuce head, in fact, it looked like they placed the very center of the lettuce head on it and that was it. I was so disappointed, I couldn't even finish eating it, so I ordered a taco salad and I was in awe of the appearance. It was huge and the most beautiful, well put together, most delicious taco salad I'd ever had in my life. So the margaritas & cheeseburgers suck but the taco salads are amazing........go figure??!
![]() ![]() We stayed @ The Summit so we went to Spinnaker's for our seafood which was sooo good. I'm not surprised to read that they also serve a great chesseburger as well. Last edited by STITCH; September-28th,2009 at 05:29 AM. |

Thanks for the heads-up Stitch. I plan on eating at Margaritaville next week and that's what I probably would've ordered. We'll take a stab at something else. Glad the taco salad was good. Hope you had a great trip.

Well we ate at Margaritaville a couple of times last week. I have to say our experience was great. I got the fish tacos the first time and would do it again but I HAD to try the cheesburger my last day in town and they did it up right! Also we tried the topshelf margaritas and while not huge or overloaded with the good stuff they were quite tasty. We will be back.

Beef's is good for game nights, and maybe lunch with a few business partners. Their burgers are pretty good but there is much much better around PCB. I notice you're pretty new around the area man. You need to check out Schooner's, Spinnaker (not sure how their food taste anymore though), and some of the other local places. Puts places like Beef's to shame if you ask me.

We have a Beef's here and they do have good food and like idrivefast22 said it is a good hangout on gameday. I like the local spots when in PCB. There's nothing in my town that comes close. It doesnt hurt having the gulf to look at while stuffing one's face either. Has something happened at Spinnakers to cause them to change their food? I hope not.

Nothing has changed at Spinnakers that I know of, I just haven't been in a while to grab a bite. Kinda weird considering it's within walking distance of me 3 days of the week. I may make my way over there in the next week or so and grab a bite. I'll report back when I do.

Spinnaker is as good as ever! Ate there just before they closed for the winter. They should open back up within the next few weeks.
Their food is one of the best kept secrects in PCB. Most people think of them as a club, but they have delicious food. Huge variety on their menu. They added the Cantina Bar last year and it went over very well. I agree they've got one of the best burgers in town. They've actually got several different burgers on their menu... from southwestern to hawaiian and everything in between. Plus they have some of the freshest seafood in town. And, one of my favorite things about them... one of the largest selections of beer in town! /shameless plug over!
