Best Lobster tail?

I'm thinking way ahead of our schedule but it's like this, I know there is little chance we will ever hit PCB in time for Lobsterfest at Schooners. I hope I'm wrong about that but probably not. We really would appreciate any suggestions on where we may find good lobster tail on our next trip down. Thanks folks!

I would recommend Capt. Anderson's. They've always got the freshest Florida Lobster. Boar's Head also has FL Lobster. The important thing is getting FLORIDA Lobster... it's so much more tender and better tasting than the frozen Maine Lobster most places serve.

Other restaurants in our area carry Florida Lobster as specials from time to time. Schooners and Boatyard like to have Lobster specials (po boys, lobster chilli, lobster relleno, etc) but I prefer plain ol' lobster tail with a dash of drawn butter. Good stuff!

I agree, you can't go wrong with Capt Anderson's. We always have lobster at Capt Anderson's when we're down.

Many thanks for your experienced opinions. We've been to Capt Andersons and without a doubt it is one of the best restaurants I've ever tried, period! For whatever reason we still haven't tried Boars Head. I used to love the old commercials on Beach TV-"impeccable"! is still a line we quote. I'm sure we will have to check them out this fall. We'll make sure to insist on the Florida lobster. Thanks for the tip!

Lobster Special right now

Since you're talking about Lobster Tail and Capt. Anderson's, I just have to point out that they (Capt. Anderson's) are having a $15.95 reopening special right now (through Feb 12) on 1/2 Florida Lobster tail... so get your tail over there! Ha!
