We stayed at Holiday Inn Sunspree because of the review the Travel Channel did on the "Florida's Top Ten" episode. If you want a motel rather than a condo, this is probably the best motel in PCB.

Good:
The pool area is excellent. The programs for children cannot be beat. They have tons of activities for kids to give parents some "alone time." The beach is maintained daily and they have multiple lifeguards working for the motel. The

Not so good:
If you expect good customer service, this is not a good place.
I reserved an "executive room" meaning a room on the top 2 floors. At checkin the girl at the desk asked if a room on a low floor was ok. I said I had reserved a room on 14 or 15 and she said "We don't reserve those rooms unless you can afford a suite. There aren't any other rooms available on 14 or 15." I Showed her my printed reservation confirmation stating "executive level room" and she said "Let me look again." Suddenly she had a room on the 15th floor available. In other words, she had originally lied to me.

More not so good:
I had also called before leaving to find out about internet connections. I needed to be able to connect a laptop computer. I was told there would be a connection on my room phone and high-speed connections would be available in the conference rooms or the lobby where I could hook up the computer. I went to hook up the phone in the room and there wasn't a connection. I called the desk to ask which conference room or lobby I could use and they said guests cannot hook up their own computers. There is a computer in the lobby which you can use (if you can find a time when kids aren't playing on it), but if you need to connect your own computer you have to drive 4 miles to an internet cafe'. When I asked why I was told differently the day before, the "guest relations manager" said they don't have the connections yet, but they advertise them since they will be getting them. Sounds like false advertising to me. When I asked why the customer service rep told me they had the connections, he said "She was wrong. There's nothing we can do to help you."

More not so good:
The room was not what I expected. Tile floors, 2 beds, half working tv, room service that didn't "clean" the room all week except changing the sheets and towels, and a lot of spiders in the room.

Not all bad though:
If you don't spend much time in the room and don't need internet, you will love the Holiday Inn Sunspree. The pool area and beach are great. Just don't go there expecting hotel staff to cater to your needs or to have a posh room. If you mainly want to hang out at the pool and beach, this is the best motel in PCB as far as I can see.
