Thumbs up A place worth of a referral

As I read Candy's post, I realized I often come here looking for recommendations on places to stay but haven't posted about my own lodging experiences. There is one I really should share.

If you are 25 and older and looking for a cozy efficiency with a fantastic view, try Brad's rentals at the Top of the Gulf http://home.comcast.net/~pccondos/. We've stayed in 819 twice, and everything was wonderful. His units are clean, newly decorated, and wonderfully equipped, and Top of the Gulf is located in close proximity to the superclubs on Thomas. The condo has a large pool which was kept sparkling clean both times we stayed.

Keep in mind however, Top of the Gulf is an older property, and has it's problems. (Elevators slow and not air conditioned, painted walkways get VERY slippery). While Brad's units have been trouble free, we've once rented through the rental office and will NEVER make that mistake again.

Thank heavens for the wonderful owners!!

yes thank you. I will be making our reservations for next summer right after Christmas, so I will be hunting a good place. We may stay at Long beach resort again though. Never had a problem there. We usually rent through resideo.com. I

I noticed you mentioned the elevators. I am not an elevator person but typically have to ride them anyway, and the ones at the celedon were so slow I felt like I was going up to the 23rd floor every time and we had to wait forever on one. Nothing too bad if you don't mind being in an elevator a long time but I like fast elevators myself. These were the slowest ones ever!

Yeah, I know it's weird to comment on that, but I notice them because often my job has me riding them ALOT with equipment, etc... I was in PCB a month ago or so on business and had to ride up 20 stories in what must have been the world's slowest unairconditioned elevator. The misery index was at a freaking HIGH, and since the only respite from the blazing rooftop would have been the multiple elevator rides I had to take, it would have been nice for them to either have been FAST or air-conditioned. :D
