My son went back to school yesterday but I am still thinking of Florida and ready to go back Guess I'll have to wait a few more months.

Yes, most schools are back in session and the "summer" is basically over. It doesn't stop me from thinking of the beach though. Here at work, I have a PCB calendar that Moonspinner sends me every year and pics of us at the beach on my desk. We have reservations Labor Day weekend. We'll be arriving late Aug 31st and staying thru Sep 4th. Three full days on the

21 days and counting.

You should come now!! Florida is great!

We were there June 24th through July 1st and the water was so beautiful. I am so glad we came that week! When I was growing up and in my teens we would always come mid August or the 3rd week in August because back then school didn't start until after Labor Day and PCB was always awesome back then, that time of year.


WOW I so wish we could come Labor Day this year, but, it just isn't going to happen.

What is cold to you Floridians???

Yeah, what is cold to you guys? Average temperature here in the winter is around 40 for a high. But we do see colder. I am sure Trishben sees colder than that, haven't you Trishben???

Umm YEAH... It gets COLD here... and I've lived in Ma too, so I have to grin when I hear the trop clime use that word....

Ever spent a night in Kansas in the dead of winter with the wind whipping??? There isn't enough heat or blankets in the world... Holy crap that's miserable (but then so is Kansas...)

It got down to 12 degrees two January's ago.....BBBBRRRRRRR (having lived in Nova Scotia -- it was like Ned in the first reader).....

NW FLorida has something that most of the State doesn't - Seasons -- well, that might be pushing it just a tad - for instance, this year - we didn't have a Spring at all!! In March - it just got HOT - but we do experience all types of weather whereas our neighbors and co-statesmen to the south - they just ROAST all the time!!!

anything below 50 is cold to me. i am used to 5,000 degree temperatures

Give me 65 and below and I am happy! fall and winter. After 103 degrees here today I am ready for it!

I agree with Shannah.....anything under 50 is cold. I'm a spring/summer girl. I can take the heat much better than I can take the cold. That's why I live in south Georgia.

I am just ready for next summer after my vacation was ruined this summer by well...u know.....so I feel like I didn't even have a vacation since it was such a worry the whole time we were there. Cant wait for next year!

This time next week, I'll be down there waking up to the sound of the waves.
