Thumbs up

We stayed at Nautical for years and we loved it! We now have moved closer to Spinakers and Club LaVela because of the ages of my kids -- now teenagers. Are you staying pool side or beach side?

We stayed there about 4 years ago and it was fine. The only thing I didn't like was that we weren't pool side or beach side. Our room was close to the street.

But all their condos have balconies that overlook either the pool or the beach -- so even if you are close to the road, it is still not a bad set up compared to some condos.

We were only there for a weekend and stayed on the first floor. I forget the room number but it was the room right on the end next to the street. We never even went to the beach or pool there. We packed our stuff and went and laid out in front of LaVela. I just prefer to walk out my door and the beach be right there, which if why I always make the reservations now.

I believe I got a pool side room, but from the looks of it. So after reading all the reviews, it is no Super8. I ended up getting a pretty good deal then just for myself. I wanted something cheap since nobody else wanted to chip in over here.

I love being beach front also. Like I said now, we stay closer to Spinnakers and Club LaVela -- at Summit or at Sugar Beach. We also stayed at Ocean Terrace for a long weekend in October and loved the "mom and pop" type atmosphere.

Gagirl, can you tell me how bad the crowds are during college spring break? We go during the high school spring break in April but I'm also going for 4 nights March 19-23 and was just wondering what to expect.

Thanks!

It is very crowded during college Spring Break. Of course, since you have been down during high school Spring Break, you know to avoid Front Beach Road. Even Thomas Drive can get backed up during March. Just don't be in a hurry for anything and you will be fine.

Oh.....we always stay at Mariner West now.

You might want to consider Ocean Terrace (850-234-5631) because it is within walking distance of Spinnakers, Club LaVela, Hammerhead Freds, etc. That way you wouldn't have to rent a car......

Yes royale , I think it is a very good idea to have a rental car. That way you can go where you want....when you want.
