Anyone know about this resort and the accomodations? I am thinking of renting this from an owner but not sure if they actually have bedrooms or if they are suites. Where at on the beach is this located? I appreciate any info! Thanks!

I've never stayed there, but Emerald Beach is part of The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach. That group has the best resorts in the area (Edgewater, Majestic, En Soleil, Long Beach, Emerlad Beach). They have high standards, so I can only guess Emerald Beach is top-notch.

The Resort Collection of Panama City Beach

Emerald Beach is on Front Beach... close to Gulf World, Sharkey's etc.

Here's some info that was in an Edgewater newsletter recently:

Emerald Beach Joins the Resort Collection

Emerald Beach Resort and Spa is set to become the premier vacation and meeting spot in Northwest Florida. With the continued growth and ever changing face of Panama City Beach, Edgewater Beach Resort Management, Inc. announces the premiere of the $250 million Emerald Beach Resort and Spa. Emerald Beach Resort and Spa will feature 1,000 one-, two- and three-bedroom full service suites.

"Emerald Beach Resort and Spa offers the highest level of guest services, richest array of amenities and largest amount of meeting space in Northwest Florida," said Andy Phillips, General Manager for Edgewater Beach Resort Management, Inc. "It is destined to be 'the premier' resort on the Gulf Coast."

Emerald Beach Resort and Spa embodies sensible luxury including amenities such as a grand lagoon pool featuring "dive-in" movies, two beachfront pools, an intimate roof top pool, lazy river, 27 challenging holes of golf at Hombre Golf Club, 10,000 sq. ft. spa and fitness center, the largest sky bridge in Florida, "Kids' Krew" activity programs and a VIP check in and valet service.

Each of the specialty dining venues will offer an array of palate pleasing cuisine including an upscale Garden Market featuring a butler's pantry with wine and cheese section, a Sushi Bar in the sky bridge, Starbucks, Pizza Hut and a variety of indoor and outdoor dining options. Additionally, Emerald Beach Resort and Spa has obtained a license to house a Ruth’s Chris Steakhouse specializing in U.S. Prime for a "serious steak in a not so serious environment."

Appealing to the discerning business traveler, Emerald Beach Resort and Spa will eventually boast more than 60,000 sq. ft. of first class meeting space ideal for innovative events, corporate meetings and conventions. The expansive resort and residential community offers 260 oversized guest suites in each of the four towers. Tower one debuts Feb. 26, 2007 followed by tower three April 26, 2007. Upon completion in 2009, Emerald Beach Resort and Spa will add two additional towers, two and four, creating effortless seaside serenity with a splash of simple splendor in every suite.

Thanks for the info. I just wanted to see some pictures of the pool and facilities there which I haven't been able to find. It does look nice and sound good from what I've read. Looks like we may rent there. I wonder if the lagoon pool is anything like they have at the Edgewater or similar? Anyone know? Thanks!
(I'm in Indiana).

Was their Memorial Day and pool is small compared to Edgewagter. I am very unhapply about the construction for we are booked for the 4th of July and looks like nothing will be finished. Looks like a big mess and and rinky dink pool.

What kind of construction was going on and what was the big mess? I know alot of the amenities will not open until late 2007. We have reservations there and I am curious concerning your post.

Thanks

The skybidge is the only thing haflway finished and they we still installing excalators and had a large amount of noise and tools scattered around. there will be NOTHING ready exect the tikie hut by the pool on the ocean side. This pool is very small for a condo of this size and nowhere near the Edgewater or Long Beach. Unless you have a killer deal on room you got
ripped like me. The front lobby on the condo side is very nice but who cares. Look for a small overcroded pool for the 4th and nothing else. I wouild not consider this condo till next year. NOTHING will be compled on the food court or swimming pool or stores or game rooms. GET OUT now if you sill can. Try the Sunrise just down the road . It is GREAT

Ther is so much construction and nose on the food court side you can not here yourself think while you are trying to get to your room for your car. If yu get a great rate you are still better off staying some where else. Sorry their is no free lunch or Santa Clause

The EMERALD BEACH will be more a business and convention type condo not a family vacation resort the pool on the parking deck is also very disapointing. The food court and store and restaurant are nowhere close to complete but they also look very overrated

We did get a great deal and we won't be there over 4th of July we are going next week so hopefully not as crowded as Memorial Day & the 4th. Is the Tiki Bar yp and running? If not do you know when? Also is the roof top pool open? Is the skybridge going to be the sports bar? Sorry about all of the questions it is to be able to ask someone who has been there.

Thanks for your help.

The Tiki Bar is up but not open. The Emeral Beach managment say that is may open the 4th but that is not guranteed. The roof top pool is not open and due to all other construciton still in progress will not open for several months. The skybridge looks like it is set up for a converntion center check in. If it a sports bar or even check in for convention center you will have a major problem getting throught from parking deck and really big with suitcase and bags. I am glad you got a great deal but my opion there are a lot of good deals at condos that are already compled. I have stayed at Edgewatger, Long Beach,Sunrise Beach and many other condos in the area and This is the WORST for the money even at a bargin. The roof top pool is a large mudhole size and if you like the top of a bare parking deck for a for your backdrop it will be great. Why go to a roof top pool at the beach you can do that in a lot o big cities. I guse that did that so city people would not get homesick

I hope you have a great time PCB is the best try BOONDOCKS on hy 79 north and THE CAPTAINS TABLE across the bridge in the town of Panamana City. Try VRBO on the internet as a good search tool of a rental direct from owner. But donot be misled on the new condos till you get some reviews. This one will have problems even when comple. They did not plan well for the people flow from parking to the condo. Its like the condo part of the plan is just an afterthought (EMERALD BEACH)
