Hello all...I just found this site this morning. My friends and I have been looking for 2 weeks now at getting a beach house for my bachelor party late August. We've been looking from Destin to Panama Beach. None of us are from there or know the area that well.

Regarding the bachelor party...we are 29-30 now, not 20-21 anymore...BUT that doesn't mean we still don't like to have a good time. I guess what I'm saying is that we are looking for it all. I read some reviews here about Edgewater and that seemed like a good idea...but maybe a bit too family oriented for this...? We are looking for a beach house...ON the beach...hopefully with a private pool too. There will be aproximately 10-12 of us.

Does anyone have any advice they could give me to help me in this search or any direction to point me in...?

Congrats on your soon to be wedding. I have had good luck renting from www.vrbo.com It is a rent by owner site and they have lots of beach houses with pools you may want to check out. See if there is anything you like and maybe some locals can give you their opinions if it would be nice enough for you or not.
