What's the best end of the beach?
I will be in PCB for Memorial Day Weekend with a group of five males ages 19 to 25. We reserved a condo at the Moondrifter that is on Thomas Drive, right beside Club La Vela. Anyone have any best's or worst's on this condo, and which is the best end of the beach to be on, Front Beach Road or Thomas Drive?

The best end of the beach has to be the St. Andrews state park end. It's cleaner and quieter. We are staying at Regency Towers in July, and have been staying there for over 15 years. The beach is what makes us come back every year.

It'll be convenient staying next to La Vela and Spinnaker, but you'll want to cruise Front Beach Rd a little, too.
to the forums guys!

I guess I'm getting older, and I enjoy the peace and quiet more and more. My ideal vacation is sitting on the beach behind the condo in the afternoon with my surf rod in one hand and a cold coors light in the other. I have gotten away from the party scene and into relax mode. If you are looking for the party, stay as close to club La Vela as you can so you can walk back to your room after a night of partying. Cruzing front beach road is a must too.

Stay next to the clubs... it's way more convenient and it's probably where you'll spend most of your time (day & night).

I'm with ya on that one.
Those guys'll have much fun at the clubs, though... |

How is the party scene on Memorial Day Weekend? Is it more of a family or college atmospher?

My husband and I prefer the quieter end of the beach so we stay in Inlet Beach which is west of Pinnacle Port condos. There are mostly beach houses and townhouses where we stay and not much beach activity.

That's a very peaceful area of the beach. Reminds me of the old PCB.

Yeah, I have looked at many pics of old PC Beach. Mexico Beach probably looks like PC Beach used to look. They still have mom and pop hotels and beach homes but no high rises. We may not stay in PC Beach but we spend all of our $$$ there. Can't wait to come down. Looking forward to it.
