Some child of an owner of Edgewater posts on here regularly to advertise her parents' unit. I stayed at Edgewater, and it is dated and the front desk is unpleasant. Not on a good part of the beach, either. They charged me 50 dollars for missing check-out time, even though no one ever told me what check-out time was. I will not stay there again. I can pay the same amount and stay on the great end of the beach near attractions with views and pools on the beach!

This should not be a forum to advertise your prorperties.

Edgewater is kind of over-rated if you ask me.

Edgewater is my favorite spot to stay - Like all units I am sure, some may be outdated - but I would guess most are not at Edgewater because I have heard they are really sticklers on updated rooms. The pool is one of a kind - The restaurant is first class - The "dive In" are very nice. At times they will bring a big screen out by the pool deck and show a movie at night. You should see all the people. The pool music is very good. I can not honestly think of one bad instance we have ever had at Edgewater Beach Resort.

I forgot to mention when we were there this past June, someone's kid launched a sub - turd, yes a sub that needs to go in the toilet.......right in the pool floating around!! This was in the middle of a hot day and everyone had to get out of the pool for the rest of the day. This was in the big laguna pool.
Everyone was a little pissed to say the least.

GROSS!!! However, that could happen at any pool, anywhere & shouldn't be blamed on Edgewater. There are untrained, undisiplined children everywhere, unfortunately.

Was it a "kid", or some teenage punk trying to be funny?
