Brown county? Mrs Peel, I take a small vacation to your county at LEAST once a year. Brown county state park and the town below are one of the most beautiful sites you will ever see in the fall of the year. The covered bridges and mom&pop shops are really cool. Probably just my imagination, but you and your wife(?) look kinda familiar. I don't get over to Nashville or the state park very often, though. We live about 15 minutes northwest of there and tend to avoid going into Nashville on the weekends. You're right, Brown county is truly beautiful in the fall...nice looking snake, too! I hear they taste like chicken!

Snake is actually very good to eat, and being from Ky, we eat just about everything around here LOL! The lady in the pic is not my wife just yet, but we are working on it! I am a very personable person, so we may have met before, I am not shy about talking to strangers at all

Being a southern girl, I have also tried snake and I must admit it is quite tasty.

We arrived Sat. 6-30-07 for our week stay. At checkin we were told that our room was not ready at 4 pm but it would be shortly and they would call. We went and got groceries and came back at 5pm abd room still not ready. We asked why and they said they had only 2 cleaning ladies on duty butthe director of housecleaning was in our room and it would be ready any second. We decided to put food in ice chest and go eat. We came back at 7 pm still not ready. We went to main office at Edgewater Beach Resort and finallygoa call at 7:20. So far all they offered was a 200.00 refund that will not cover one day. Also no of the Amenities are up and running so the adds you see are very misleading. If had annother condo to rent I would have left. There we 8 other groups still wating also. the security was very rude, the tikie bar at pool is not openand they do not allow coolors at the pool. The elevators have borken down several time and we are hearing from people whohve been trapped for 40min . The escalotors are breaking down and have you have to walk up them or wait on the one small elevator. The internet goes off and on and not blinds over the door from bedroom to balcony There seems to be room for only 3 chairs and one small table on balcony. This is by far the smallest balcony on the beach. We were told by people in management that w weeks ago The Owners Association had told them that they would no let them manage the food and I questioned employees about management and their reply was there was no management. If asked 9 out of10 people were very unhappy with the resort. I am here till Saturday if I can make it out without getting stuck in the evevator. I was supposed to hear from the management and owner of the room but no responce till now. They have a lot of problems that wil not be fixed anytime soon one of which is that have waited too long to apply for a State Beverage Permit so forget abaout tikie bar and sports bar. DO NOT BE MISLEAD BY CURRENT ADVERTISING THIS IS VERY SECOND RATE AND A VERY UNFRIENDLY MANAGEMENT AND VERY VERY DISAPPOINTED PEOPLE WHO HAVE HAD THEIR VACATIONS RUINED BY PEOPLE WHO JUST WANT YOUR MONEY NOW AND COULD CARE LESS IF YOU EVER COME BACK. i WILL BE HAERE TO ANSWERE ANY QUESTIONS TILL SATURDAY.

Sorry For The Spelling I Am So Mad And Disappointed. I Donot Want Other People To Be Taken Not As Much For The Money But The Vacation Time And Happiness For Your 1 Big Week Of The Year Cannot Be Replaced

I'm really sorry your stay isn't going very well. I wish there was something we could do to make it better. 4th of July in PCB is a great time and everyone deserves to have a great vacation here.

Just out of curiosity, how many times have you stayed at Emerald Beach? You started this thread a couple weeks ago... could you not change your reservations?

We were not allowed to change without loosing a lot of money and we were promised that the tikie bar and sports bar would be open for sure. We had faith that people would do what they say they will do. Watch your pocketbook at this place. I have stayed at many places in PCB and this really continues to amaze me in rasing the bar for total disreagard for their guest and pure stupidy. Who would have only 2 housekeeper for the week of the 4th of July and security that gives a prison camp feel to the place. Got anything to say about that. Come by and ask some guest this week their feelings this week and if what I say not right I will eat the whole complex. A few more vacations like this and I will be voting for Destin.

Well, it's really too bad things have turned out like this. I hope management will listen to you and find a way to make things right for you.

Keep us posted and hopefully you'll find some good things in PCB to help ease the pain of a bad stay. I can certainly empathize with you... I've been in similar situations.

I know you're really mad and, like I said, I can definitely relate... but, this is the first bad news I;ve heard about Emerald Beach. In fact, someone else in this thread commented how much they liked it.

However, I don't doubt what you say at all... I just wish Emerald Beach would do something to make it up to you.

Everyone that visits PCB deserves to be treated like royalty no matter where they stay. Great customer service is easy to achieve with the right staff and there's no excuse for poor customer service under any circumstances.

If you contact management and explain the situation, it seems to me like they have an obligation to try and make you happy.

BTW - How did you hear about Emerald Beach? Did you see it on TripSmarter first or somewhere else?

The Emerald Beach does not currently have the Skybirdge
sports Bar open yet or the Starbucks or the pool on the parking deck. Do not be mislead by false advertising I am here right now.

Yes I read you smartpick ad. The project is way behind and owners are getting desperate for income. No one here this week was pleased with the level of sevice and most felt like they were mislead by ad. I will ask them to make a reply in this forum so you will know I am no the only one.

I think the coment you refered to was someone who knew annother person who had stayed here and no first person review have I seen.

This must be a low traffic site anyway for most of the time when I am on here I am here by myself or maybe one otherperson.
