Holiday Inn Sunspree (not during Spring Break) Edited 8/9/07

How is this property for a family now? I know it's insane during Spring Break (as is all of PCB) but we booked it for the second week of August right before the girls go back to school as hubby can't swing enough consecutive days off in August to book a condo. The sites look nice, but I'd really like a personal opinion from someone :) TIA

Well, I see where a lot of you opened the thread but there were no replies. We are here now and it's pretty nice. Not a condo by any means, but still pretty decent for a beachfront property in PCB. Rooms are spacious and clean, full sized fridge and micro, free internet (slow though). Kids eat free, which is nice but ceach chair rentals are $40 a day! I think we'll stay here again, AAA rate was $144 a night and Priority Club members get 2PM check out for free.

Sorry, I have never stayed there. Their prices just seemed too high for just a hotel room. I have seen much better deals at motels with full kitchens at PCB.

Actually, for a PCB hotel it was pretty decent. They have a lot of activities for the kids, kids 12 & under eat free, even at the poolside bar. as I mentioned above my only complaint was the beach chair cost. Parking across the street is accessed an underground walkway and they have a shuttle that you can ride to avid the walk. It reminded me a little of larger resort properties I've stayed at in other towns. I think we'll probably book them again, jsut not during the spring break time frame.
