Emerald Beach Resort
I know that there are a lot of people looking for places to stay in PCB that are unfamilar with the area, so I wanted to let people know about Emerald Beach. We stayed 4th of July for a week.
The largest part of the resort is owned by Wyndam, so when you walk in you get a fine resort feel. There are valets and bellhops, if you want them, but don't have to. They have an organized check out system that I have not seen at other condos in PCC. You are put on a waiting list for a cart Saturday morning when everyone is trying to leave.
The main problem that I had with the resort is there are 8 elevators. 4 on each side of the building. All 8 will take you to the beach, but only the 4 on the right will take you to the beachfront pool. This is not a very large pool area. I don't know what they did before they built the pool across the street. They show a movie by the pool one night during the week. The pool by the garage is a much larger area with a zero entry pool for the kids to play in and another pool for mainly adults and hot tub. We enjoyed this pool much more. They have activies at this pool too.
Now, the getting around is the tricky part. There is a parking garage. The Sky Walk is the 3rd floor. You will walk past the Sky Bar which is very nice. When you get to the condo side you will need to either take the elevator or escalator to the lobby floor and then get on one of the other 8 elevators to go to your room. Alot of people complain about this part. It is not bad as long as all are working. Half of the time on or the other wasn't working. Of course then there are the elevators that take you to the beach front pool. I am talking nightmare. Take the stairs. It is faster.
There is also a Starbucks on site and room for a few more shops and things to open when the banks start lending money again. My understanding is that there is supposed to be a spa at the resort, but not yet. Overall it is a nice resort. I would stay again, if I got a good deal on a condo.
