De Luna Festival

Headliners to Include Stone Temple Pilots, 311, Bush and 30 Seconds to Mars

Pensacola Beach, October 15-17, 2010

Note of history - This festival is named after Tristan De Luna, the Spanish conquistador who settled Pensacola in 1559. This concert marks the beginning of Pcola's 50 year celebration counting down to its 500 year anniverssary in 2059!

P.S. I think we're gonna be at this concert! We'll take plenty of pics if we go........

De Luna Fest announces the lineup for its inaugural year including performances from Stone Temple Pilots, 311, Bush, 30 Seconds to Mars, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Edward Sharpe & The Magnetic Zeros, The Bravery, Rebelution, Better than Ezra and many more. The three-day festival, scheduled for Fri.–Sun., October 15-17, will feature musical performances on three stages directly on Pensacola Beach fronting the sparkling Gulf of Mexico. De Luna Fest will be the first major music festival in the Pensacola area in more than four years. A confirmed lineup is listed below with additional bands to be announced in the coming weeks.

"There will be something here for everyone," said Nick Bodkins, festival organizer, Five Flags Tourism Group (FFTG). "We’re bringing amazing live performances to our area with ticket prices that will encourage everyone of all ages to choose to support Pensacola Beach while having fun."
"This area has been hoping for a festival like this for years," said Scott Wheatley, FFTG partner and festival producer. "Bring your beach chair, stake a spot in the sand, and be ready to have a great weekend on Pensacola Beach"

With performances taking place on three stages including two main stages on the beach, De Luna Fest will feature music across all genres. Festival organizers are working with area restaurants to feature outstanding local cuisine in the “Ariola Food Market.”

Festival tickets will be available online starting at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, July 6 at delunafest.com, and discount tickets will be available at Seville Quarter in Downtown Pensacola and at The Bridge Bar and Sunset Lounge in Gulf Breeze. Online Early-Bird Ticket prices are $60 for a weekend pass and $55 weekend discount passes are available in person at Seville Quarter and The Bridge Bar and Sunset Lounge. VIP ticket-and-travel packages start at $275 and will be available online or by phone at 888-9DELUNA.

Looks like they've added a third day to the festival on the 17th of October...

and it'll be free! And headlined by no less than Willie Nelson.
