Just curious as to what the weather is like right now in PC Beach? Saw a picture on facebook of Destin and some storms rolling into the area. That's not from either of the tropical waves out in the Caribbean I hope?

HOT! With ocassional thunderstorms.
The thunderstorms are just typical summer storms. Not related to anything tropical.
They sure do provide a nice break from the heat at times...
It's a DLEE sighting!
Welcome back. Hope all is good in Alabamy!
Thanks you two. Hope the humidity will be backed off some when we get there in two weeks. We've had some awfully hot and humid weather for July. But I look forward to the surf and sand.
That's got to be a record for August - and, it's supposed to last alllllllllllllllllllll week! NO humidity. I had to wear long sleeves this morning when I walked the dogs down to the Bay... possible high of 90, but NO humidity!
I'm going to take off today and tomorrow and work this weekend when things go back to August normal
Get in the car, grab a plane and get down here! FAST! It won't last for long, but it's going to be a week for the record books.
Awesome - OK - I have to get away from my desk and out on the boat! See ya!
Definitely feels good this morning!
Lucky for me, I have a friend with a GREAT BIG BEAUTIFUL yacht... and lucky for me, she and her husband invited my husband and me to go out with them yesterday. It was so beautiful, and there were so many people out on their boats, just chilling out, soaking in the clear, cool water - it's just great to see so many grownups acting like little kids!
I live here most of the Summer, and I grew up spending every possible minute out in the boat - but, I hate to admit I've spent way too many years behind a computer working on the weekends instead of enjoying all the natural beauty of my hometown. We have made a new resolution to go out - at least for a few hours EVERY weekend from now on!
It was also really nice to see so many visitors who had rented pontoon boats and jet skis out there mixing with the Locals on Shell Island. There was a boat full of folks from Miami who couldn't get over how much more beautiful OUR beaches are! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!![]()
Yep, call us f'shizzle!
Hook it up with the photos.
Yes, please post some pics.
Always wanting to see pics!!![]()
Weather is perfect as to sun and clear water. Been here since Saturday around 3:30 and have not been in the gulf yet. Don't know what's wrong with me? Well, aside from the fact I've been sick with my sinuses/allergies more on than off for about two months now and still don't feel much better.
Hope you're enjoying your trip Beachnut!
Having a blast, thanks. Although the hubby and I have not done anything we planned to do so far, no scooters, no dune buggys, no waverunners, don't want to ride them anyway. Just hitting some of the restaurants and stores and sitting in the beach house looking out at the gulf. Have taken a couple of beach walks but I have not gone in the water one time, not my norm. So I guess you'd have to say we're relaxing. We do plan on going out on the city pier though, and I'm sure we will rent scooters before Friday.
I'm from Vegas and I've seen it all. But you just posted one of the best enticements to get back down there that I've seen in a long time!
