Went to Hunt's Oyster Bar yesterday, for the first time. Great place, staff is very friendly. Oyster's were ice cold and a dozen is "15" for $4.95

Hunt's is great! A local favorite...
That sounds sooo good right now. Never tried Hunts until last year and now we can't wait to get back for some more.
Went to Hunt's last friday for lunch. Sat at the bar next to a nice couple from Georgia. Hubby had a dozen raw, which actually ended up being 15 oysters & a bakers dozen baked w/ butter, garlic & parmesan, yumm-o! I got the grilled tuna sandwich (medium) with fried okra; excellent! By sitting at the bar, we only had to wait maybe 5 minutes. Even if it's busy, it's worth the wait. Grab a beer from the bartender and sit outside.
Hunts has the best oyster bar period; the seafood is good as well.
I have been eating there since early 1970 (orginal
location)
