Duck Race!

Paws Across The Water duck race will be at Barefoot Landing on Saturday, September 10th. The event is a benefit for The Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach, presented by NextMedia Radio Group and Fox 43-WFXB.

Vendors, a kid’s zone, music and food are all part of the day’s activities, which will be located throughout Barefoot Landing and along the waterway from 10:00 am-6:00 pm. The event is sponsored by Elko Spas and Redi Mix Concrete.

10,000 rubber ducks will be released into the Intracoastal Waterway at approximately 4 pm and race to the Barefoot Resort Bridge. Ducks correspond with numbers that are issued at the time of adoption; the first duck to reach the bridge wins. The grand prize is a 6 person deluxe spa.

You may adopt as many ducks as you wish up to race time and you do not have to be present to win. To adopt a duck, pick up adoption papers at Barefoot Landing merchants or contact the Humane Society of North Myrtle Beach at 843-626-4006 or www.nmbduckrace.com.
