Attempting to plan an awesome family vacation

Hey everyone-

Planning family trip in Sept.2007. Trying to decide the best place to stay at. Have been looking at Edgewater Resorts. Should I rent directly from Edgewater Resorts or find private owner? My oldest 2 children are graduating from high school and starting "real life" so I am wanting to have a final awesome family vacation. I appreciate any comments or help.

Edgewater would be a great choice for your vacation. It's a large enough resort to still feel exclusive and private even though it's basically in the heart of the strip.

They've got several pools, including the huge lagoon pool... tiki bars, restaurants, tennis, golf, spa... the works!

You'll probably save money through VRBO.com or private owner...but, Edgewater runs package specials form time to time as well, which can be a good value.

Go to Edgewater's website and look at their packages... they have golf, tennis and spa packages available now... and sign up for their e-deals... I hear they have a newsletter going out soon that may have some specials in it...

Also, you can read reviews of Edgewater...

Personally, I feel Edgewater is the best place to stay, but again, I would probably be biased considering that is the only place we stay. I would dinfinately stay there and I would definately book your unit through an owner. You can save a lot of money by doing that.

September is a great time to go since the summer rates are no longer charged. Fall rates are a lot cheaper.

We own a two bedroom unit at Edgewater and at times will rent out to people ourselves. You can contact us at the signature below. Anyway, if not us, definately rent from an owner and save money. I think you can also find edgewater owners at vrbo.com. I think that is the address.
