The Shrimpboat Restaurant is now open!
This historic landmark of St. Andrews has been under construction for 2 1/2 years and officially opened on November 1st. Carrying on the family tradition, Loren Smith, owner and son of the original Shrimp Boat Restaurant owner in the 1950's, has raised the bar on dining in the Gulf Coast area.
The restaurant is 24,000 square feet, seats nearly 600 people and is modeled architecturally after a 19th-Century Cuban Cigar Factory.
The Shrimp Boat is open Monday - Saturday at 4pm.
Once completed, the entire complex will also feature Historic St. Andrews Seafood Market & Specialty foods, Gracie Rae Bar & Grill, Sushi Bar, Shrimpboat Gift Shop and Yacht Landing Reception/Conference Hall.
