    Concerts in Panama City Beach

This is for any live music fan who's thinking of coming to Panama City Beach..

PCB is the place to see a live band or concert!

Why? Because Panama City Beach has dozens and dozens of clubs offering live music and some even have multiple stages.

Also, because Panama City Beach isn't Detroit, or Memphis, or any ultra-large metropolitan city, you can be assured that when you see a band here, you're seeing them in a laid back and open atmosphere. Panama City Beach is the kind of town bands just enjoy playing. It's on the beach, the crowds aren't super huge, and they can often connect to their fans in a more hands on fashion. Try meeting your favorite band from the 38th row section D of some mega coliseum.

For example, last night at Club La Vela I saw Danzig (a metal rock band headed by Glenn Danzig.. formerly of the iconic punk band Misfits.) The stage was plenty big enough for their wild stage lights and equipment, the crowds were big (but not overwhelmingly suffocating) and the ticket prices were less than what you'd pay in Chicago, etc.

Prong, another metal band, opened for Danzig and both bands rocked the house. I could tell the bands were enjoying themselves, and they interacted with the audience quite well... so well infact that afterwards they were all sitting around signing autographs on CDs, shirts, and other things fans had brought in.

So if you want to see great bands and enjoy music in a comfortable environment... try Panama City Beach. You might be surprised at what you find.

Browse around TripSmarter.Com and see what's going on... check out some of our local Nightlife listings and see what's happening in your favorite Panama City Beach club.

    See you at the shows!

Why yes, it is. It's not the neatest handwriting, but it's slightly nicer than my own handwriting. haha.

In addition, one of the cool things about bands playing a smaller club is that often after the show they'll just stick around and meet the fans, sign things, and sometimes get a drink and relax. I got the signature during that time.

During Spring Break, some of the guys here at work met members from the band Bush and other celebrities that were passing through town. Another cool thing about seeing a band in a club is that you can meet other locals with similar musical interests. That's a plus, too.

    Hi Jason,

So how did you know Danzig was going to be Lavela? I check their online event calendar, I didn't see it listed anywhere... I'm also on the mailing list and didn't see it there either...? Please share your oh-so-secret source.... :)

If you'll notice, the posts right before Jacks are from 2002 - that's when that concert was.

Family Force Five tonight at Spinnaker 8/24/06

Family Force Five is playing tonight at Spinnaker - I think Ugly Stick (awesome local band - I have all three of their cd's ) is opening for them..

Should be a good show...I think the most expensive ticket is $20...I think am heading out there - so I'll give a report tomorrow if I do indeed!
