It's that time again! Spring Break 2009! It's a little chilly today...but it's supposed to be in the 70's this weekend. It's going to be great beach weather for the first real weekend of Spring Break 2009.

This year looks to be bigger and better than ever. MTVU is coming to town and bringing with them an amazing line-up of concerts that includes Lil Wayne, Flo Rida, Asher Roth, All-American Rejects, Jim Jones, and 30H!3. Not many specifics have been announced as far as dates and times...but we'll have them all posted on our Spring Break 2009 Concerts and Events section as soon as possible!

Other acts that are scheduled to appear in and around PCB for Spring Break 2009 include Yin Yang Twins, Mike Jones, Bubba Sparxx, Third Eye Blind, Luke Bryan, Pop Evil, Corey Smith, and the Sugar Hill Gang.

Also, both Club La Vela and Spinnaker have surprise concerts planned for Spring Break 2009!

Caig and EVERYONE, I got bad news, due to budget cuts there wont be any live feeds this year

SWN sent me a message the other day saying some of their projects just weren't in the budget this year. Theres a small change Steve will make it to the second TS party but Luke and Shawn will still be out with their cam and a limited supply of handouts.

im gonna handle the videos gonna try to post some up every day. and I could tecnically do a live feed myself if I had someone to carry the laptop. I have all the equipment to stream video live

Man, you guys are the best! Thanks so much for the offers to contribute!

Unfortunately, I've been pulled away from the office for a couple weeks. Shawn and Luke are picking up most of my duties while I'm away and are slammed! That's one reason why there haven't been more posts to our SB Report this week. Those guys are busting *** to make sure our company continues to function.

Plus, as everyone is aware, the current economic climate is forcing many companies (us included) to re-evaluate their business and focus on projects that generate revenue and hopefully find additional revenue, as difficult as it may be.

You guys may not realize this, but we've never really monetized Spring Break. We have limited sales resources and Spring Break isn't something that we focus on for sales. On the flip side, without sponsorship money and clients to control things, we've been able to do whatever we want during Spring Break. So you guys got reallly cool stuff like daily updates, useful party maps, live broadcasts, etc. that you've seen us produce in the last several years.

But the situation is different this year and I can't help but feel like we're letting our forum members down a little. Especially since we won't be broadcasting from the TS Parties as planned... and especially since I won't even be there. Seriously, watching you guys put together that party last year and meeting everyone was one of the coolest highlights in my career at TS. I just can't explain how damn cool that was. It's what we've been trying to accomplish for many years with Tripsmarter - full-circle social media - and it's a great story for anyone involved or anyone that cares to listen. Hopefully you guys will be reliving it all again this year at the 2 TS parties... I just wish I could join you.

But, if everything works out, I believe Shawn and Luke will be able to show up and spend a little time with you guys. We have some t-shirts and planned to have more giveaways, but circumstances have changed.

Anyway, you guys drink one for me at the parties and hopefully next year will be a different story.

AND, we always appreciate it when our members post trip reports like Craig (lakeland_fl) is currently doing. If you guys find a way to broadcast yourself, I will tune in. And you know how to upload photos... you can also upload videos to Tripsmarter's Video Vault. If you run into any problems or have questions about how you can contribute, pls ask one of us and we'll do everytihng we can to help.

Thanks again to all our forum members and especially those who have contributed in the past.. and those who will contribute this year. You guys make us proud!

ledgendary post swn, i will do everything i can to make this a memorable trip, as i write this message, on the beach, a little to drunk to type properly, i have made a plan, I am going to do my best to go around with my video camera and capture what i believe is the essence of "spring break panama city" and in my opinion there is no spring break without tripsmarter.

Thanks Craig - you have no idea how much I wish I was down there drinking a cold one with you.

On a related note - some of you may remember from last year that we set up an FTP login for those of you that wanted to upload LOTS of photos and found our gallery upload too slow. If anyone wants to mass upload photos again this year, we will find a way to reward you with something cool. Just contact one of us and we'll set it up for you! THANKS AGAIN!

SWN5363, I missed last year, but I am back this year to help on the post. I will have tons of pics and will fill this thread with info as soon as i get back and you know Daniel has your back to!!!!!!!!!!! This web site has giving 1,000's of Spring Breakers a way to vent and reflect, so Its cool if you miss this years party because you were there last year and you came to the one I hosted in 2007, so it is cool. You guys should really invest in a working website that allows us to book our hotel res with you. I would never use another company.
